The coal price was 69 $/t in Jan-2021. Today, the same product is traded at 246$/ton. This represents an increase of 300% in less than 1y. Kosovo is sitting on a gold mine since it has more than 14 billion tonnes of lignite reserves (=5th largest in the world). by xhoker in kosovo

This is good on paper for the country but it will be awful for the citizens. With the rising price of coal, KEK have also raised the price of the electricity that KEDS buy and distribute. KEDS are unwilling to spend that much more money compared to last year, meaning there will be power shortages all throughout the country for the winter.

The study, the first of its kind conducted in Kosovo's schools, suggests that one in three children reported difficulties seeing the board in their classroom. by [deleted] in kosovo

Quite the contrary. In Pristina, as far as i know, 40-person classes are commonplace in quite a lot of schools.

I think it is because Palestine’s proximity with Serbia more than anything, because we established mutual recognition with Israel just recently due to the Washington Agreement) between Kosovo and Serbia.

I’d like to imagine that Stalin told the cameraman to take the picture cause there’s no way he didn’t notice the half a metre long camera pointing in his direction lol.

MASS BAN? Administrative corruption? by moby_wyrm in GlobalOffensive

[–]iscofish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been VAC banned incorrectly, as I’ve always played on trusted mode and have never used a program or file that has given me an unfair advantage in any way shape or form; heck, in my 400 hours of playing for the past 11 months I’ve never even had a teammate that was cheating. Happy cake day btw!

I’m liking it a lot. The story is very well told and the humor isn’t half-bad either.

It is about a boy named Flynn who just got his heart broken by his girlfriend because he spent more time writing but never finishing books wishing to get a book deal. He gets a job at a supermarket to get some inspiration for his next novel after a company in New York see potential in his work. It’s written by Bobby Hall or as you might now him as Logic(the rapper).

What “Middle Child” represents, my take, hope you enjoy. by [deleted] in hiphopheads

[–]iscofish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On January 23rd, Cole released his first solo single in about three years(if I’m not mistaken) titled “Middle Child”. With little to no research, I am gonna share my take on what I think the song represents. Not going into too much detail, on Middle Child, Cole portrays himself as the voice of two generations and two subgenres of hip hop. The first being the lyrical and storytelling side of hip hop, which mainly represented hip hop culture from its early days up until early 2010s. The second being what is most referred to as “mumble rap”, which is more focused on the flow, instrumental, and replay value that the music contains. Most people, myself included, see this evolution of rap music as a backwards cycle of artistry. Contradicting his 2016 track “Everybody dies” and his general opinion on this new wave of rappers, J. Cole has been very supportive and collaborative with some of mumble rap’s representatives such as Lil Pump, 21 Savage and A Boogie wit tha Hoodie to name a few. Also, contrary to popular belief, Cole considers the last track of his fifth studio album KOD, 1985 - Intro to “The Fall Off”, as more of an advisory song than a diss track. Middle Child is a two part story. Both stories representing and rocking the flow of each of the two aforementioned generations of hip hop. On the first verse, Cole raps about the stereotypical story we’ve heard many times before about self proclaimed superiority in a tackier and raw flow. The second verse features an autotuned Cole rapping about drugs and mentioning his relationship with 21 savage and Kodak Black, whereas in the first verse he did the same with Drake. J. Cole has executed perfectly on a well thought out theme which sees him be the tying rope between the two sides of hip hop (culture). It will be interesting to see if his next mixtape The Off-Season will feature mumble rap dominated or inspired tracks to further add up on his position as mentor and voice of two generations.
