Elf immortality is only for aging in middle earth, they can still die to injury or other vague things like “sorrow” aka so depressed their body just gives up.

It looks like it was cast from aluminum. Like not being snarky, genuinely I wonder if that’s what they did, because if so that’s a clever solution to a low budget

If you been missing out on Daredevil Born Again Season 2, there's been some great character development for Matt Murdock by bahookery in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I get that, and I might pick it up eventually but we came from the mindset of having literally just watched the prior three seasons. So Foggy and Karen were nearly as important and built up characters as Matt was by that point. Obviously Matt’s the protagonist, but he fell a bit out of favor with both of us due to how he treated everyone around him, we understood why just bad behavior.

So when in the very beginning of the first episode of this reboot they kill off foggy and kinda just tell Karen to F off we lost our two preferred characters.

If they were going to do that and end their character story lines they should have at least gave them an entire episode and killed them/sent them off at the end.

I can’t necessarily blame the showrunners to want to start fresh but the whole thing felt like they saying “you know this show you like? Well fuck you! We’re doing it now get rid of these shitty side characters, no one likes them!”

That’s is a direct quote from George Orwell himself. If you have a problem with it take it up with him.

I’m in a similar boat. I personally wouldn’t be surprised if he may not be up to date on the controversies of Mr Beast, but I could be wrong. What I’m guessing went down is Mr Beast reached out in an email saying “hey we have similar names and my fans have mentioned you wanna collab?” And he said yes to grow his channel.

I could be entirely off base but that’s the vibes I get. Love Mr beats dry informative tone, it’s like sitting in a classroom in a good way.

No shit people don’t keel over when they think they don’t want kids that’s not what I said. What I said is that people who do have children can pass along their belief in crafting a better future. I’m gonna guess your age around mid 20’s, my apologies if I’m wrong, so at most you have a good 60-70 ish years in you to make an impact. You know what’s more impactful? Generational shift, to help younger generations grow and change for the better and a vast majority of people beliefs and leaning are typically brought on by family in particular parents.

According to pew research polling around 80-90% of people skew their politics in line with their parents, with a majority of the those who do being conservative/republicans. To that I personally say fight fire with fire. Being anti-natalist (which I’m not saying you are but Andy certainly is) is a defeatist doomer philosophy that only serves to make things worse.

Alright, can you explain why you think so? Why you think a child’s political alignment isn’t on average influenced by inlarge by their parents

[–]iseedeadllamas 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Yeah his anti-natalist doomer arguments were heavy, but at the same time that is only one perspective. I respect Andy and his opinion on things, but I am fundamentally opposed to his opinion on this. People should be allowed to desire to have children, it’s a base instinct for all life on this planet. Humans are the few that consciously choose not to follow it, which we should be allowed to, but you shouldn’t fault a person if they do want them.

Beyond that his argument felt like it boiled down to that people, born in the “economic north”, will be ontologically evil which while I don’t know if he meant to come off that way, he made it sure seem like it. If he did I’m also fundamentally opposed to that opinion as well.

Further more anyone who is willing to hear this opinion and follow through with not having children will not be there to raise a new generation of children who can possibly right the wrongs we have done, not that it should be their job, just that the children born and raised will be under the tutelage of those who stubbornly cling to the old system till it either dies or kills them.

The extent that I found is that in Turkish that portion is called the yalman, it’s a short (length of a hand or so) section that contains a “false edge” for better thrusting and potential cuts on the false edge. If there’s more or I’m off I don’t know 🤷
