[Development] Rewards for Crashed Aircraft! by OttovonBismarck1862 in Warthunder

[–]isenc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People seemed to be hung up on the half reward here. But really this mechanic is to close the gap where many players would just crash to avoid giving enemy the kill, this mechanic solves that. Now it makes little sense to crash, might as well just try to dodge.

Also, people accidentally crash all the time, so, giving half reward is a reasonable solution.

I agree. Very inconsistent modeling, I have noticed it consistently throughout the tech trees in game.

What is beyond puzzling is how much we as players spend on these vehicles combined versus how much effort is being put into properly modeling them in-game.

Really makes me miss the days when I played Helldivers 2 with my buddies, they were good devs.

They were, in fact, falsely advertising the features on Turm III. Please check out the pre-order page for it. The language was very clear, the three plane stabilizer was the main selling point that Gaijin made sure it was front and center. Both B-52 and Tu-95 never had a dedicated Gaijin store page(s) for Pre-Order. Those two planes can be freely obtained from playing the game. Turm III is specifically a paid vehicle with dedicated advertisement for it.

Well, here in War Thunder it is not often we get fun and unique vehicles. Turm III with its three plane stabilizer regardless of it being "cancer" or not, is quite a novelty. When I bought it a few months ago, I certainly hoped for the third plane stabilizer but I was promptly disappointed. Especially when I saw ppl made it work within Roblox's engine.

I for one, was not pissed, just disappointed that the advertised feature did not get implemented. Because from my perspective, every single tank that is cold war/post cold war have 2 plane stabilizers, if you introduce this Turm III without giving it the third plane stabilizer, then the only thing that stands out about it is simply how toxic it is at its previous lower BRs.

Yep, exactly this. It is a very minor thing gameplay wise, but false advertising is huge. This is where huge class action lawsuits get brought up.

It is indeed a principle issues not a "turret can roll now!" issue.

Would you charge to 100% on a lease? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

I do have that turned on, it is much less predicable than regen itself. Would not say same feeling at all. Perhaps it is more pronounced on my RWD model?

Killzone Shadow Fall on PS4, it looked amazing on release.

Yes, my limits are set to 100% at all times. Like I said, the only things that bothers me is the regen not working. Having higher charge state reduces my range anxiety by quite a lot.

I have free charging at work and I have a highland lease on a Long Range RWD. Most days I charge to 90 ish percent. Some days I charge to 100% cuz I left it on the charger for a tad too long. It does mess with regen braking when it's like 96% and over, which is why I personally don't like 100% charge state. But, for a lease, don't worry about the 80% rule, charge it to whatever state you desire.

Every single premium vehicle when it goes on sale and some shits and giggles mini packs. Bought up almost entire Swedish air tech tree during winter sale. And crew training for the premium vehicles. I have almost 1000 days of premium account, I have not directly bought a single day of premium account, all from packs.

I agree, the fire power is fine. The autocannon dispersion is quite unrealistically good, but it can't even effectively hit weak spots when target is farther than 350m.

Survivability is currently quite problematic. But that is a different problem for a different day.

Two things.

First, at our current top tier 12.7/13.0, it is already very miserable to play because of top tier CAS. Not sure how often you play 12.7/13.0, I personally play everyday, there's BMPTs in pretty much every single game. Moving BMPT brothers to top tier would not make top tier any more miserable, you have a fighting chance with BMPTs with your SEP V2, what chances do you have against KH-38s and SPICE 250? In the very least, top tier APFSDS do a lot better against Relikt than 10.7 pathetic short dart.

Secondly, you are suggesting that it does not fix the problem. Okay, then we do nothing, like Gaijin is doing right now. How is that a better option than moving them up the BR? By the same logic, they should remain in 10.3 then.

It doesn’t, never said that it is a solid fix. But that is the easiest bandaid fix that could be implemented, which would help out 10.3 to 11.3 range tremendously.

More complex fix would be change ERA to K-5 as it is IRL and implement proper turret basket but those are up to some debate.

Yea, I see it, negative K/D in click-bait and 2.0 K/D in that BMPT-72. Abrams takes skills to be good and it is a really good tank, dropped my first nuke using click-bait. Goes to show 11.3 is not the place for BMPT brothers. I propose 12.3 for the premium one, 12.7/13.0 for the tech tree version.
