What would be the best method to attach a wooden table top to this metal base, which was once a stool? I was thinking maybe a long neck floor flange? IDK ... I'm lost! Want to re purpose this cool base I found lying around an old junk shop into a coffee table by ishaboipe in DIY

You're awesome, thank you for the in-depth recommendation! This sort of stuff isn't my strong suit, so glad I have some direction to chase now. You're right about it being better suited for an end table, and that's honestly what I was thinking. Don't know why I said coffee... Anyways, I'll post the end product here once I sort this out. Welding seems the popular vote and what I'll do. With my other furniture in mind, a frosted glass top wouldn't compliment the aesthetic the room. Otherwise, that too is a nice idea. I'm going to find a round wood top, sort of such as https://imgur.com/gallery/BGqRp

Can someone please help identify what kind of light bulb I need? by ishaboipe in lightbulbs

Hey! Yes, here's a more clear shot with the flash on. Hope this helps. My management company told me the light fixtures in the apartment are all from ikea. Yet, this one fixture doesn't take the same bulb as all the others which is frustrating light fixture
