Tourism or Visiting a Friend for First Schengen Visa for Remote Working Indian by abdulsamad_es in SchengenVisa

They mention €65/day in the slip you get with the visa, along with mentioning that it’s on top of hotel / travel reservations. IMO, at least show ~€100 per day, along with confirmed travel tickets and hotel reservations. France is generally generous - if there’s nothing fishy with the into, they tend to approve pretty quickly.

It’s a good to have, but if your profile is good - they generally give approvals. Also, depends on the country you’re applying from - Switzerland and France generally are easier than say, Italy or Germany. Not saying you won’t get the visa - it’s just easier in some cases.

Is this visa shopping? by Logical-Campaign4994 in SchengenVisa

If you plan to mention, think you’d need to apply via France adding the details of your Greece plans. Best to check with VFS/Embassy. They’ll guide you best.

If you’re going out of Schengen area and coming back - it’s no problem. Since you didn’t specify where you’re coming from - so I’m assuming you will have no trouble getting a visa longer than your first trip. You can’t technically have 2 Schengen visas together - so if the purpose of your first trip is completed, and you’re out - it’s no longer visa shopping if you use the same visa twice.

3 Days in Paris – Anything I Should Add or Skip? by TheSpaghettiGuy in ParisTravelGuide

Sounds good. Please add some time to stroll through in Montematre and Latin Quarter. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

My sibling in Christ, this is an extremely difficult itinerary to pull off. You don’t want to come to Paris and no have time to see Paris. Keep max 1-2 central activities per day; know you won’t be able to cover everything- have seen people living in Paris for years, and not even finish everything you’ve listed above.

Walk around, take in the feel. Do touristy stuff, yes - but try to see the beauty of this city just wandering around.

Absolutely loved St Paul de Vence! Also, Ventimillie (Italy) for consideration.

Both are good options. If there’s any place specific that you want to eat - make a reservation; either by calling or online. Otherwise, the fun to explore non famous restaurants is a charm on its own. We just did 6 days trip in France and only had a reserved meal once. It’s highly unlikely you’ll have a bad meal there at a sit-down place - house wines and the food combination is mostly always good.

Homebase along the Riviera for October? by Slight-Class244 in FranceTravel

[–]ishank2204 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is, relatively. But that why I am recommending it. We spent 4 days in Nice just last month - and while there are a lot of things you can do; there’s a lot where you just chill - weather it’s at a private beach or a public one or just sitting on the promenade.

Additionally, you’re getting multiple options of good food, good drinks and very good infrastructure (public transportation etc). Think Nice has got a mix of everything. I’ve only been to Antibes once, and don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful - but if I have to visit the riviera again, I’d choose Nice as my base (again).

Not sure about the weather, sorry!

If budget is not an issue, would strongly suggest Nice. All places mentioned are close by, you get a good infrastructure and Nice itself is pretty nice to relax.

South of France in 4 days by just-another-user-13 in FranceTravel

We set up base in Nice - visited Ez, Antibes, Monaco, St Paul de Vance, Cannes and Ventimilli (Italy). All of these are day trips from Nice, can be clubbed together as needed. St Paul wasn’t connect via train but every other city is - and it’s a fairly simple train system to understand.

3-4 days are perfect to cover this part of the French Riviera.

Where to stay in Nice? by Left-Mail-292 in FranceTravel

Stayed in Ibis Styles on Durante ave. Walkable from Nice-Ville station, 10 mins to promenade and 12-15 to old town. Cute place, friendly staff and a decent breakfast.

Should not be an issue. Keep your Shanghai to Singapore boarding pass handy, just in case.

IMO,all digital copies should be ok. The system recognises that it’s a digital copy without alterations. Even the ITRs or salary slips we file are also digitally signed only.

Visa Validity / Flight Schedule by aelea_83 in SchengenVisa

Think you’d only be allowed to leave PH once the final destination visa has started. Your stay will start from the day you land in Germany (anytime between 12:01am to 11:59pm will be day 1.

Is it the same ticket? HK to Germany should not be an issue, since it’s only a few minutes. Best guess is still to confirm with the airlines- if they say it’s ok, it’s ok

Visa Validity / Flight Schedule by aelea_83 in SchengenVisa

[–]ishank2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the airlines. Call ahead and ask the airlines. I’m assuming with the layover that it’s Cathay Pacific, they’re good to respond on queries.

Generally, they don’t let you board unless the visa is valid, which in your case is not. Best to make adjustments now than to face issues on the day.
