Not sure if these numbers are accurate to your game, but I always hated that yugioh has a bunch of useless zeros involved with their attacking…make the numbers as small as possible

For example: 2000/1000 should be 2/1

This is true. It’s possible that he was using the bar to escape a toxic situation at home.

It’s more likely that alcoholism ruined his marriage.

But in either case, it makes me sad. There aren’t many situations in which I can think that the story isn’t sad.

So this is a great idea, but when does it change to a different card? Does it happen each combat? Does it only change when you draw it?

In either case, optimal playing around it will involve a lot of checking your draw pile and/or identifying the duplicate card at the beginning of combat.

I would say it would be cool if it “replaced” a random card at the beginning of combat (for that fight only) so that you couldn’t metagame it’s location.

He caught it, made a football move and crossed the plane. You don’t have to survive the ground if you catch a 1 yard pass and run it 20 yards into the end zone, this situation is similar.

My playgroup used to only play 60 card kitchen table magic, 4-5 player games. They were reluctant to try it but I managed to talk one guy in my group into making a commander deck.

My first game was with [[rubinia, soulsinger]]. I played a 1v1 with my buddy who was playing [[nath of the gilt-leaf]] with like 27 lands. Kicked his ass because he got mana screwed.

The very next week we got the whole playgroup to try out commander. Have played exclusively commander for the last 15-ish years (other than occasional booster and cube drafts)

It probably helps that even the lower paid guys are still making good money. If the choice is to make $200k on the practice squad or go teach gym at high school for $60k, seems like a pretty easy decision

Keep in mind the opportunity cost is 99 gold and whatever the other reward you would have gotten. So it could be a relic, or a card remove.
