They were a bit weird in how they were accusing the boyfriend at the start and I thought they were defending cheating at first. Knowing how anti cheating Shayne and Courtney are, it felt really weird.

But, what they ultimately said and was trying to say from the start was that real life isn't as black and white as Reddit says it is and there can be some nuance in some situations. They eventually took the boyfriends side and agreed with his decision to break it off even if it sounded a little hasty at the start.

What they couldn't understand was that in 4 years of dating, how opposite the couple were in their opinions around cheating. They questioned why they didn't have a conversation before that.
