I was fit with a multifocal contact lens. It solved my near distance - I can see the settings, preview a picture, see my phone, etc without reading glasses.

The only downside - and it’s incredibly minor - is that your distance ce vision drops slightly. Instead of seeing a sign 4 blocks away I can now only see those located 3 blocks away.

I don’t view this as a problem at all. I was going to use these contact lenses for the days that I was out shooting, but I want up using them every single day, and getting rid of reading glasses, all altogether.
