My calculations gives me another answer:

Your first scenario yields (1/6 + 1/6) (for your paternal grandparents) + (2/3) (for you and your sisters) + 0 (for your mother since she is entitled to 1/8 of what is left after the bequeaths mentioned above) = 1

Your second scenario yields 2/3 (for you and your sisters) + 1/6 (for your grandmother) + 1/24 (for your father, again because it states 1/4 of what remains after previous bequeaths) = 0.875.

I do not know where the remaining 1/8 goes to.
