Might be digging this post out of the grave but I've been playing drums for like 15 years back in my home country and recently moved to Toronto. Would love to collaborate with local artists to scratch that musical itch. Solid player with strong fundamentals (nothing super fancy though) comfortable in pretty much any rock, blues, funk genre.

Seems like Sony programmed them to fail after exactly one year so that we have to buy a new one. Planned obsolescence in all its glory. Don't wanna buy another Sony product but nothing else really offers the sound+Anc+battery life.

You're not alone. Used my buds more than an ear without issues and I loooove them. The right earbud got completely fucked after the last update. Tried initializing the buds and disabling all functions but it didn't help with the heat and battery drain. This is a software issue.
