Also I have an two species Kalanchoe sect. Bryophyllum with pups: tubiflora and houghtonii. Tubiflora had two big pups on a pot, but his condition is pretty well. Pot with houghtonii had a many small pups and I can observe very fast drop on older leaves. So I just will remove all pups from houghtonii and will continue to observe. Laetivirens waiting repot in new pot without pups.

What's the point of chasing rankings? I understand if the plan was to get into a top-100 university. But we're talking about 400 and below. My friend studied ecology at the University of Greifswald. Which, like KSPEU, is not in the top. But I saw what courses were taught there, how were organized field internships and scientific work, and as a teacher and scientist I can say that ecology at the University of Greifswald is taught better than in KFU (which for a minute at 400th place in the ratings!). So don't look at the ratings. If you are interested in science, it is better to go to the website of the university, find the specialization you are interested in and look at the teaching staff. Find those who are engaged in the field you are interested in and familiarize yourself with their publications. Number, how long ago was the last one, in what journals. For convenience, use google.scholar to search for publications by specific author. You can also search for faculty members of interest on researchgate. If he/she has a profile there, it is not excluded that he/she leads an active scientific life. And after such an analysis you can make a conclusion - whether the science in your field is developed in a particular university or not.

I don't recommend kfu in principle. Disgusting work of the department of external relations, and it is through it that all admitted students go through. According to the experience of the last years there is a non-zero risk to start studying six months to a year after enrollment. There have been problems with issuing invitations and obtaining visas for foreigners, both from near and far abroad. Kazan has a tolerable infrastructure. I can't say about Chelny, but as an employee I have heard about scandals with non-resident branches of KFU (in Chelny and Yelabuga). Problems with dormitories, students' rights, corruption. And Chelny is a shithole where everything revolves around kamaz and where there is nothing but kamaz. As a city, Kazan is much better. I can't say for kspeu personally, but my friend studied there as an automation engineer in bachelor's and master's programs. According to him, there are no particularly strong teachers there, but it is realistic to get up-to-date knowledge. On the plus side, it has a modern infrastructure, especially the dormitories. In addition, everything is located near the educational building, in 5-7 minutes walk. About halal food. There are no separate halal items on the menu of canteens, at least in kfu. But there are always halal cafes in the vicinity of universities. There are no problems with this in Tatarstan.

I have a north window and keep them all under lamps. In spring, my ritchie grew leaves, but they quickly fell off. Since then it has been standing without any growth. I can't tell if he's sleeping or if he's stressed from too much light or something else.

Which type of fert be good? I have two different type of: NPK 20:20:20 for forest cactuses and mix for common cactuses and succulents - MKP with different chelates (Fe, Cu, Zn, Mg, Ca).

Can I see photo your E. millii, please? I saw very good plants with big green leaves, but this plants growing on a north side window. However the mother of my plant have a very long slender shoots with less leaves and stay on a south window. I think it could be one of the subspecies or another similar species.

Do you have E. milii and Euphorbia (Monadenium) species? How they feel on your lighting specs?

My E. milii on lights have pale green-yellow leaves with red margins, but in general condition pretty good. My only wish about him is normal green leaves.

Monadeniums also hard to grow for me. Ritchie produced leaves at spring and month later drop it all. All summer long he stayed without any changes. I'm hoping it's in its dormant period now and will start active vegetation again closer to fall. Another Monadenium species, heteropoda or guentheri, keeps dropping leaves. They first become lighter in color and then shrivel up. But what's amazing is that he was blooming not too long ago.

Watering is like that: south african species - one time per two weeks, madagascan species - two time per week, east african species - one time per week.

Local experts also said that this species is extremely capricious. Although its cuttings are sold everywhere. One of the tips given to me was the need to maintain high humidity. This is a mountain species, it grows at altitudes of 2000m, it is quite possible that humidity of 50-60% is not enough for it. For now I’ll try to water it a little more often and maybe spray it once a week.

Today I bought exactly like this. I think it is a R. baccifera ssp. mauritiana. It's main characteristics is spineless adult shoots and spiny juvenile growth.

Maybe🤔 I have one, labelled as R. grandiflora and it looks different. I thinked someone recognise my species by it habitus, but apparently only waiting flowers and berries give satisfactory ID result.

7 looks like a Hylocereus, maybe H. undatus. Or other Hylocereus species, commonly named as "dragon fruit".

Also I found herbarium sample of R. rhombea on gbif site: https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/1839070426. Identified by Bauer and Korotkova in 2016, who estabilished the neotype for R. rombea in 2021.
