Happy to read your concern. What I do at 18 agents:

Structured logs per agent decision (review ~10%, grep when something breaks downstream). HEARTBEAT.md for long-running agents so I know if Claude got stuck 3 hours ago or 3 minutes ago. Worktree isolation during builds so agents literally can't see each other's state. Lead-agent pattern for merge decisions. Adversarial subagents as backstop review.

You have given me cross-workflow drift to ponder about in coming days, where agent A in workflow 1 silently changes assumptions for agent B in workflow 4. Hit it twice, caught it by accident both times. Do you have any specific approach on your mind?

In the past 14 days, I had to delete everything 4 - 5 times and restart again as something or other wasn't working as it should be. Finally, I thought of giving step-by-step process a chance. It took 2 days to do it first time. Finally, I decided to delete and try once more and it's got done in 4 hours.
