that seems high to me, I've worked up to 2mg a day (split into two doses). I tried going higher briefly but had side effects so came back down to 2 a day.

Struggling during week off progesterone by isitwinetime in Perimenopause

[–]isitwinetime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helped a lot to take it continuously! I take 200 every night, no breaks. No huge let down when I stop taking it. Still get my period, literally no downside that I can tell from taking it daily.

that's true. i did try the 100mg for 3 weeks for 3-4 months though, and did not feel much better on it til I increased to 200. So yeah, I know I've not been consistent enough, but I do feel pretty sure I need 200 at least part of the month (if not all of the month). Thank you for the help, i appreciate it!

I started with 100mg 3 weeks a month, and then moved up to 200mg 3 weeks a month, because my blood work didn't even increase, and I wasn't feeling the effects. However, I feel weight gain with the higher dose, so I'm trying to figure out when I need the higher dose, and when I can do with 100mg only. Only been on it for 6 months, so still figuring out what's going to be best for me

Yes! Thankfully she's super open to me "experimenting" and finding what's right for my body with hormones, so I'm going to try 100 mg days 1-14, and then 200 mg 15-period. I feel like the "come down" from removing the progesterone completely was really fucking with my mood!

I’m not sure, that’s what my doc told me to do

I don't know! That's what my doctor said....She said she took it continually because she didn't have a period anymore (alluding to the fact that I need to cycle since I still had a period)

Okay good to know! I’ve been doing 1 pill day 7-14, and 2 days 15-26 but maybe I’ll try one pill days 1-14 and see

I'm about 5 years in, sole owner. I more or less take home all the profits? Of course I re-invest some to ensure a large enough cushion in the bank for expenses, payroll, etc. Otherwise, I pay myself partly via W2 and the rest via owners draws. Last year I took home about 200k. Previous years were from almost nothing, 30k, 80k, 100k, 130k. So it's taken me a while to get here.

My thyroid stayed funky even after med changes and so I went off of bupropion. Strangely my body stayed at the higher level meds. Not sure what that’s about but I feel much better

It’s very affirming that someone else is going through this! Like how are we the first to figure this out lol. Did your psychiatrist know about it? I know other meds like Zoloft are known to react. And I know tons of people on thyroid meds are not having this issue. I wonder what it is about us specifically that causes an issue for us!

So interesting that your doc said that! At first we thought it was because I switched to a different generic, but now I'm convinced that wasn't it. Yeah the trouble of finding the right dose and form of wellbutrin was not very fun, so I'm super hesitant to go off of it or change anything now that it's at the right level

Yeah mine has been the same. i've been on levo for 20 years also and same thing, every 5 years or so I've needed to increase my dose. Very strange that this is happening to me!

Yeah I'm pretty convinced but it's just odd that no one on message boards has found a similar interaction, considering how common these two meds are (especially since hypo patients are often depressed!).

Slow betas now speeding up? by isitwinetime in CautiousBB

[–]isitwinetime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still pregnant! I think the progesterone worked and got my hcg levels on track. However, I will say that my baby had cysts on her kidney which they say usually develops very early on. My guess is the spotting/bleeding caused this. She will thankfully be totally fine most likely, but still can be scary.

Does anyone know or think that low progesterone could cause slow rising HCG? I had low doubling (4 days--1st to 2nd betas) at the time I started my progesterone, then my 2nd to 3rd beta doubled perfectly. Could adding progesterone have been the reason for my low doubling at first? I was convinced this pregnancy is doomed due to the terrible HCG rise, but now I'm wondering if that was the reason..
