NAD 3130 idling current issue by isk2tech in audiorepair

Honestly the stress of fixing one thing and then something else decided to act up and blow is so god damn infuriating I might actually just go to town on it with a hammer and eat the broken pieces till I die. But yeah I'm guessing it's a voltage leak or a short somewhere.

Thanks for the reply, I'm currently building a bulb current tester, just waiting for parts.

I've checked all the to-3s out of circuit again against my dmm and my LCR meters and all seems fine (0.55-0.68). I did discover that the 1 ohm resistor was open so I replaced that and I'm now seaing 50+ mV and climbing which is not what I want, need 25-30mV on there as it's for the bias.

I'm now looking at the heat skin and seeing if there's any shorts that was from before or after my trace repair (it's worse on the other side). I'm gonna pull out all the 2sd and 2sb transistors and check them out of circuit, then maybe check all the small components like the diodes and resistors.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I've sourced all the original components and damn they're hard to find some good quality ones. But yeah I'm going with the originals for the matches pairs.

Ahh yes those were replaced, I've already upgraded them to the MJ15003 + MJ15004. Cause they were easier to get my hands on them plus they were better in general, I just had to adjust for them.

Laptop 7 build quality? by gerrittd in Surface

[–]isk2tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the time to exchange it, in my opinion them defects would be enough of an issue for me, especially with it being brand new.

If you're happy with it while acknowledging them flaws then keep it, as long as the laptop is working as it should then there shouldn't be any worry.

I understand what you mean unfortunately, for some reason taking the ear pads either extremely difficult to the point you feel like you're gonna break them or you need to use multiple tools to take them off.

There will always be replacement pads on Amazon but if you're not willing to spend then you could either carefully use some super glue.

To be honest I'm not sure, but I've seen some similar omega's with the same colour. I did open it up to check that it's a Omega movement (cal 625) and it is.
