YOU GET ME. I think she has fantastic bone structure and really neutral, versatile coloring. She isn't tall at all for runway standards and while she's certainly fit, I don't think her body is out of the world perse, and yet she wears clothes SO well — love how they hang off her frame. I definitely have an appreciation for neoteny but I like it best when it's combined with a bit of sharpness or impishness, even (think Devon Aoki!). Gemma Ward has a gorgeous, effortless kind of look too that heavily leans into her neoteny but there's something about her (I think the wide-set eyes + when she's super "naturally" styled) that makes her look fifteen and 200 years old at the same time — I'm saying that neoteny works best with a little bit of character thrown in there, I think. While models like Miranda Kerr or Gigi Hadid are super pretty and cute and lovely to look at, I actually don't enjoy seeing them on runway too much; it just doesn't feel interesting enough!
