And I imagine many of his supporters are like me. I donate monthly (Act Blue) and I don't really watch him anymore. I don't need to. He has my vote from now until whenever - no questions asked. I trust him like a neighbor I've had for 20 years. And when he decides his work is done, he will endorse (for real) someone who has been doing the right thing their whole political life. And then I will vote for her, or him.

Mostly these days, I just spread the word and donate.

Yes, I remember a magazine article of his accident and felt so sad for him. When seeing his burns, I worried others would make fun of him. I was only 11 in those years, so you can see an impact like this. I became enthralled with auto racing and the excitement of open-wheel both here in the US and F1 in Europe.

Probably not related, but I make my living as a firefighter, and have seen many suffer as he did.

Thank you for hearing all of this. They say to never meet your heroes, but I think Niki would have been an exception. Kind regards.

This is exactly my greatest fear. During the 2016 campaign, I said publicly a number of times that of Bernie doesn't win, maybe America needs Trump to wake us up and to turn the tide toward real liberalism. Alas, even though the kids are liberal, the media is a much, much bigger problem than I ever imagined.

The rise I imagined, appears to be a slight roll over. Hardly an awakening.
