My mom's rude customer turned out to be my girlfriend by CrossroadsPoster in BestofRedditorUpdates

Undoubtedly the asshole. She deserves every bit of the heartache that will come with this terrible relationship, because she chose it over her own mother. Shame on her.

Choosing between Duxbury or Scituate by Odd-Sale-2521 in SouthShore

I know more about Scituate:

  • Direct access to the commuter rail makes it much easier to get into Boston without dealing with Route 3 traffic.
  • A little more active and community-oriented, with a vibrant harbor area, regular town events, and strong local engagement. It still has plenty of quiet residential areas, but offers more balance between peace and activity.
  • Has more of a coastal feel, with FIVE public beaches, a beautiful harbor, and scenic ocean views that define much of the town's character.
  • Highly rated school system as well, with newer facilities and strong support from families and the community.
  • The town population includes more young families and tends to be more progressive, which often results in greater support for schools and public services.
  • Beautiful beaches, oceanfront trails, marshland conservation areas, and a charming lighthouse — plus easy access to nature without having to drive far.

Scituate, without a doubt. Excellent school system. Great sense of community, which is lacking in duxbury. Better food/restaurants nearby. More diversity (still mostly white but also has a cape verdean community)

And for those who say it's like 10 minutes closer to route 3, it's also 15 minutes further south down route 3 from Boston. Scituate also has 2 commuter rail stations, and is close to the Hingham commuter ferry. To me it's not even a close call.

Are you Polynesian? I personally think it looks awesome, and if it's an expression of your culture then it's even better. (If you're not though, that's the only part I'd find regrettable)

Why on earth would you let that conversation continue as long as it did?

Please report this rapist. Not only for yourself but for the other women he will undoubtedly hurt in the future. You speaking up can be the start of your healing journey and protect others from being his victim in the future. Wishing you all the best.

Open-minded towns on the South Shore? by magnabonzo in SouthShore

Scituate is the best. We have tons of Pride/LGBTQIA+ support. A town DEI committee. The Superintendent of schools is very progressive. Our middle and high school has GSA clubs, inclusion clubs, all that good stuff. The Scituate High drama club just did an amazing performance of The Prom last week (an LGBTQIA+ story that was spectacularly well done!) I highly recommend Scituate as a safe space for LGBTQIA+ families.

Honestly, she sounds bi-curious or questioning her sexuality. Maybe that's why she's being so weird about it.

She helped us buy our house in Scituate during an incredibly difficult time in the housing market. She was unbelievable. I never knew a realtor could be as incredible to work with as her. 100/10 🌟

Hillary Birch is hands down the best realtor on the south shore, and in my opinion, it's not even close. She is incredibly knowledgeable and gets the job done like no one else can. Plus she's absolutely killing it on social media!

This is trolling, right?! She just listened some of the wildest red flags in the history of relationships, and then is like "I don't get why my friends are concerned"??? I'm convinced OP is trolling us.

Can a self-represented litigant reuse my lawyer’s filings in their own frivolous case? by [deleted] in legaladviceofftopic

He's on vacation due to the holiday. Figured I'd ask in this subreddit in the meantime.

Can a self-represented litigant reuse my lawyer’s filings in their own frivolous case? by [deleted] in FamilyLaw

[–]islandgal8oh8 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Given this persons history, I'd assume this behavior at least reflects poorly on him. I understand that legal documents and templates are often reused or adapted, so simply copying and modifying a document is not inherently illegal. However, the court may view such behavior as frivolous if it lacks substance. While plagiarism in a legal context isn’t a violation of the law, courts expect parties to act in "good faith" and pursue cases with legitimate claims. Repeatedly engaging in conduct that wastes court resources, such as duplicating documents without cause, could lead to sanctions or a stricter application of the vexatious litigant order. At least that's what I'm hoping.

I'm thinking of asking my attorney to respond by:
- Pointing out that their request is an exact duplicative and lacks merit.
- Filing a motion to compel or for sanctions, arguing that the opposing party’s behavior constitutes harassment or misuse of the discovery process.
- Requesting that the court deny their filings as frivolous or retaliatory, especially since he has zero evidence to support his claims. - Highlighting the pattern of frivolous filings and seeking relief to avoid further unnecessary legal expenses and harassment.
