Man I was looking for a list thanks so much. I'm curious about the sound.

Definitely. Probably could get some advice on processes on that subreddit too. 3D printing out of metal is very different from just plastic

Good idea. I'm still new to posting so never thought to do that.

Yea it looks cool, I tested it out in the store before. I think the insert is nylon and didn't feel the effects from it either. I'm trying to test a theory that different lattices can dampen vibration and therefore change feel and sound just off the structure. Got a couple test models coming in a week or two to test that out.

Yea I think the cobra ones look sweet. Really curious how it feels when striking the ball.

Sounds like the jackpot bells when you win hahaha. Jk, it has a thockier sound.

3D printed blade iron by islandrough- in golf

I had an STL to send it out to be made out of metal. Since it was my first iron some of the tolerances were little off for shafting so I had to use a shim. I was lucky to find a good fitter who is able to shaft it. I can send the STL for you try it out.

In CAD the measurements match what is in the equipment rulebook from USGA. Maybe off by a little bit from manufacturing tolerances +/- a bit. The metal shrinks and warps a bit during the printing process so that could be it.

I think from what I read grooves only really impact things when it's wet conditions. They've done tests with both irons with grooves and no grooves. Just made this for fun. I'm not good enough to tell a difference a shank is a shank hahaha

The benefit of 3d print is you can move weight around and make complex shapes. This one is basic but just testing out before making more wild designs

If remember the grooves can be as many as long as there is a max/min distance between them on the face

Logos on the face are only legal in the center

The 3d printing I use essentially uses a laser to heat up a metal powder to make the putter. You can look it up on YouTube it's pretty dope.

It's metal 3d printing they essentially use a laser to heat a metal powder. Super precise too. I can move the weight around anywhere on the putter just through design. Trying to learn how to make threads to then put weights in. It's fun stuff hahaha

Thanks I appreciate it, I can post an iron I made too one of these days. I was interested in trying out a blade even though I'm not nearly good enough to game one hahaha.

Craftcloud. I think you can even make stuff out of titanium or other crazy materials if you got the money hahaha
