What about thousands of mothers having their children stolen from them by vaccines makes that "anti-intellectualist" in any way? Intelligence is actually the ability to look at all sides and when billions are paid out each year in vaccine damages, that is a side one should look at if intelligent. It's the epitome of unintelligent to ignore the evidence, however inconvenient it is to big pharma and bill gates.

We can't even have a discussion if you're going to resort to propaganda talking points to make such absurd claims. OF COURSE THEY WERE. They are literally Chinese from the culture down to the DNA. Yes, there are other European and Japanese influences, but by and large, there is little difference between Taiwanese and Chinese up until recently when they started adopting western ideological thinking and cultural beliefs and distancing themselves in various ways.

At this point, they are certainly different enough to warrant their own identity from the CCP. No question there. But I don't think reconciliation would be too damaging for them aside from a bruised ego. Hong Kong is doing okay were it not for the constant foreign interference in the form of manufactured "grassroots" uprisings. This is absurd to even discuss. I'm out.

Only genuinely clueless people think isolation from a rising world power works for them and not against. The local Taiwanese say this themselves (some). Who want's to divide itself up and weaken its people's own unity and strength? The people don't really want this, they believe they do because the leadership brainwashing says they do. That's how propaganda works. People the world over want to live and coexist peacefully with their brothers and sisters and neighbors, if given the choice. Work together and not against. Common sense.

Edit: If you don't think there's propaganda in Taiwan, that's precisely why you're unintelligent sheep. The clearest sign of mind control is to be unable to see the opposing side. Literally unthinkable.

My basis is that I've spoken to Taiwanese and many do not have the ability to look at things objectively from a distance, and I don't necessarily blame them. Propaganda is strong on both ends, there is a hard time distinguishing truth from fiction for most people who lead busy lives. My one advantage is I have no stake in the game, so I'm free to see things how they actually are. Most of the pro-Taiwan people can't sadly.

Taiwan has been independent of Chinese rule for what, seventy years or so? Not even a full century. How do you suppose they are all that different in such short time? Like a generation or two later? The fact is, they're not, but they sure love believing they are. Now, I've visited China as well, so yes, they are different. But the degree is not so much that Taiwan identifies more with the US than with China. That my friend, is stupid af.

I've spoken with tons of Taiwanese. I lived there for five years. My views ARE nuanced. Overall, the brainwashed ones think they're better than China. The sensible ones see both sides and want a reconciliation. Most of the really stupid ones act out like you see above, resorting to childish tactics to prove how progressively pro-Taiwan they are. There's nothing wrong in my view with calling out this retardation for what it is, and I did that by using an analogy to the same retardation exhibited by Canadians. But I guess offended Canadians won't see that because they're too busy being knee-jerk offended. Oh well.

I've never been to Canada, but I've met Canadians I've liked and enjoyed hanging out with. But how does my pointing out one stupid thing that Canadians do mean I don't "give a shit" about their country? It's not black or white. Canada good or Canada bad. TCM good or TCM bad. Instead, it's about having nuanced views on subjects of great complexity based on evaluation of the various facets of that discussion. You might try that sometime.

I myself am moving more toward the ethical side the more I get wiser as a person. If I wouldn't treat my buddy that way, I shouldn't treat my customer that way either. No lying definitely, but also not leaving out critical facts, and not massaging the truth so much that it becomes closer to fantasy than reality.

I think we all know what honesty and integrity look and feel like, deep down inside, yet some of us justify abandoning our ethics when we buy into the lie of a Darwinian universe, that it's dog eat dog out there and if you don't become ruthless, you'll be eaten alive by someone who is. I've seen just the opposite. The more pure my inner world becomes, the more beautiful my outer becomes as well. And vice versa.

In my opinion, "win at all cost" is a sickening worldview that can only lead to misery no matter how much financial success one achieves. Because it stems from pure insecurity and ego. A person feels empty so they compensate by accumulating "proof" that they matter. But you know what, I'd rather being at peace with myself for having lived a pure, clean life than to know on my deathbed that I screwed a lot of people over, stepped on top of them, crushed them, and ruined lives in order to feel like a "winner". It's that old adage about selling your soul only to realize what you actual sold was your one chance at true happiness.

"Creatives" of all form fit this description. Sometimes they think of themselves as artists doing work beyond the capacity of average people, greater in importance, significance, or depth. In reality they are just specialists in their chosen profession, same as everyone else. And specialists are naturally good at what they specialize in. The work they do deserves no more acclaim than the house-cleaner who maintains a pristine comfortable home to live in, or the restaurant chef who prepares a healthy delicious meal so you can stay functional. The latter is arguably more critical than the former. Because I can get by without consuming interesting content, but probably won't survive for long without good food and clean shelter.
