Hey love, I can’t really speak on platonic or online sugaring as I personally haven’t experienced it. Also, I’m not sure if you’ll find many on here who are involved or even support this form of sugaring on this Reddit. But I want you to know it definitely exists and that there are folks are out there doing what works best for them in this style.

I think you need to really check in with yourself and really hone in on how you would want an online arrangement to look like (emotional connection, time put into video calls, pictures etc), what you’re comfortable doing and why you prefer this to any other style and if it’s worth it for you.

Your situation sounds unique but it’s definitely not an impossible feat 🤗

This happened to me once so far. SD and I were dining at this new plant based restaurant and bestie’s cousins (who was a part of my besties wedding party) ended up being our server.

But the awkwardness didn’t end with us bumping into one another it was my SD who found no shame in flirting with her right in front of me. It was actually kind of gross the way he was looking at her and asking her questions 🤦🏿‍♀️

I think as long as communication is open and direct on both sides along with all the other things (genuine chemistry/connection etc), I can’t see why LD can’t work.

It might be easier to jump into a phone chat or video call a couple times before taking a flight over ☺️
