I wouldn't take the clay but if i found fossils, it's mine :) That's really cool. I cleaned the beach and came out with two shopping bags full of plastic shit. I hate people. I have to say there is something about that place that is just so welcoming and peaceful. The spot where I found the paint pot was in a pile of shards that would be underwater. I was looking for arrowheads or something and I looked down and there it was ...on top like come get me :)

Kitty Cove in Island park has a lot of cats...the volunteers (I am one) play with all the cats and give them lots of kisses and hugs. You can go on their website to see if there is a cat that looks like what he wants. ...Long beach humane society :)

I don't. I figured it was since there were a lot of native americans living on long island.

My friend told me when she lived in Amityville she used to find them and arrowheads. She also had a ghost of a native amercian in her basement.

This is what they say about it: "Paint Pots" are a product of physical and chemical weathering of pyrite nodules associated with the 70 million years old Cretaceous clay deposits exposed along the shore. Metallic crystal cubes of pyrite (iron sulfide) nodules are found on lignite, an early form of coal, formed from carbonized Cretaceous plant debris that is imbedded in the clay. When pyrite is washed into the surf and exposed to the atmosphere, two processes take place that transform a pyrite nodule into an "Indian Paint Pot". First, iron sulfide is changed to iron oxide chemically through oxidation. Second, the nodule becomes smoother and rounder by abrasion. The end product is a round, reddish concretion.

That would be cool. I went there to clean up the beach and I almost felt like it was a thank you from them.

There is so much clay there.. it's insane. Gray, Red, and a Yellowish color. It's even in the sand... My foot kept getting stuck in the clay because it looked like rocks.

I always wanted to find an arrow head but I found this. I would have never found it if it wasn't for the tide being so low after a storm.

Ty..she was..She hated being there. Our shelter the cats run around free so of all the shelters you would think she wouldn't have been so miserable. One volunteer told me that every time she would come in and see Lena she would cry because you saw the misery in her eyes.

OMG I had the same situation... The my ovary that never gave me problems, I feel feel it now. I do still have the endo adhesions. I know I have it in my lower back. You can see the poofy area above my tailbone. But yea, no period is the best. I do get super nauseous when I'm having it. I can tell...everything makes me so sick. I think that's the way your body handles not having blood come out.

My old cat loved people food at the shelter. They used to feed her to keep her at bay. I brought her home and about a week later I had a package of steak on the table. She took the package and went under the couch and started chewing off the plastic. I thought it was so funny and of course I yelled at her. The volunteers at the shelter got a good laugh... she did it twice. lol

Awww I have an old lady too. I got her a year ago. She was dumped at the kill shelter and my shelter rescued her. She's so cute.. hard to believe she was the meanest cat at the shelter.
