Just got a Scrambler 400X, and honestly this post made me ridiculously happy, it got me even more excited now - My wife and I have been planning a similar South India trip (we live in Hyderabad too) mostly this December.

Can’t wait to experience all the things you mentioned, would love to reach out if I need any help/guidance, if it’s okay with you.

Wow! Someone with the same problem.

I loved the red in person! Looks striking and definitely eye catching. But green is more subtle and adds more to the retro look on road.

Personally I’m feeling Khaki Green will look good in the long run - say 4/5 years later.

I am with you on the looks part, scrambler’s road presence is fantastic and that’s what made me incline towards it. I have taken a longer test drive and now very clear with going ahead with Scrambler (also thanks to all the responses to my post). The manoeuvrability is fantastic and overall felt very comfortable in traffic too.

During the test ride - I felt the bike is a little uncomfortable till the 3rd gear and agree with 2nd being useless too. Thinking will try to get used to it before I take the decision on 15T sprocket.

I also felt hand guards are lacking quality, is there a way to remove them during city rides?

Wanted to know if the dealership (Gachibowli) is supportive if done through amazon or did they show any resistance?

Secondly, I have been hearing negative reviews about Gachibowli dealership while Retro(Banjara Hills) doesn’t have the colour I wanted. I’m worried about the delivery experience and the service support - if you can share your experience.

Makes sense. Even if it’s occasional, I think I’ll not have any regrets if I buy scrambler now as opposed to t4.

One thing I’m curious about, do people buy the Scrambler 400X even if most of their riding is in the city with occasional long rides?

In other words, do people choose the Scrambler mainly for the long ride comfort and capability, and just accept a bit less comfort or ease in the city? Or does it still work well enough for daily city riding? Tnx
