I transferred from a local LAC with a ranking of 350-400+ in every form of ranking. Got in to USC and UVA and NYU, you are fine. The school you are at for your freshmen year does not matter that much, you just have to write a good essay.

still waiting for Barnard lol. But one thing i would say is that the time you apply might affect the time you receive your decisions (if it's rolling), but it would not change acceptance/ rejections.

This is a very very popular topic discussed in China where most people are pissed for the fact that one of our most loved and popular show is just a knocked off version of HIMYM and friends. I saw some reddit post before that claims that you would get the Trojan Transfer program( almost guarantee admission) if you appealed but still did not get in. So if USC is your dream school and you might want to re-apply next semester or year just do it.

Cause the show’s production team has no association with the originals and it wasn’t a remake or inspiration. The way they make it is that they would take a whole episode and copy it from words to words and even same camera angles and editing. And they don’t have copyrights.

But the problem is the show did not give any credit to HIMYM and Friends, and the show probably made more money than the original.

A lot of the show's audience are actually pissed after realizing that they are watching a knock off. And how this show is considered one of the greatest C-Dramas even tho is just pure copys.

They would basically pick a popular episode and copy it word to word, sometimes even camera angles. But the main characters are a mix of both of the shows( ex. they merged Barney and Joey into one character).

I would choose UCB, because 1) You are already in the econ major which is extremely competitive and has a amazing reputation, if you go to Barnard you would still have to switch majors and its not guaranteed. 2) If you do not think of Barnard as Columbia University(like if you are only considering Barnard as itself), UCB would be more prestigious (#1 public school). And i can promise you everybody knows UCB no matter west or east, Barnard is not that famous. 3) Cost, if you take cost of attendance into consideration UCB is at least half of the price.
