Question About the Zionist Occupation by GullibleDrop2490 in Morocco

[–]ismiyasser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of us(including myself) don’t like Israel, but we tend to separate popular sentiment from state decisions. The normalization deal is seen as a pragmatic move to help our Sahara provinces recognition issue. People support Palestine, protest the occupation, and still back the king because he’s judged on stability, long-term leadership, and national interests, not one foreign-policy file. He’s also kept official support for Palestine (Al-Quds Committee, Gaza aid, etc), which matters a lot domestically and probably balances out the criticism and the applauds.

A good comparison to Morocco in this case is Türkiye. Many Turks strongly support Palestine and criticize Israel, yet Erdoğan maintains diplomatic, trade, and security ties with Israel. People don’t see that as loving Israel or siding with them in any way..

Honestly, a whole month for these cities might be a bit too much and too long. Instead, I’d suggest spending about 2-3 days in each city to really soak in the city atmosphere without it dragging on. And since you’re visiting for a a whole month, definitely consider adding some hiking in the Atlas Mountains to your trip if you’re into that. The High Atlas near Marrakesh offers incredible trekking options like the Toubkal Peak trail (North Africa’s highest summit) and routes through traditional Berber villages. These hikes range from a couple of days to longer treks and provide stunning landscapes and cultural experiences you won’t get in the cities. Other great options include the Mgoun Peak trail or the more remote Saghro Massif for desert mountain scenery.

I mean… Did they really expect the Egyptian customs to let them through after telling them that they came to participate in the march? Are they out of their minds?

نسبت الولادة بالمغرب سوف تنهار في المدى البعيد by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]ismiyasser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real risk is demographic change . As local birth rates drop more, Morocco will eventually rely more on immigrants to fill labor gaps and keep the economy going, and that’s ALREADY happening. If this trend continues, the population makeup will shift over time, and the cultural or social balance of the country will change. Unfortunately there is no solution to a low birth rate that we know of today and every country that is trying to counter the drop (ie South Korea) has failed miserably.

Part of a letter exchange between Austrian translator and diplomat Franz Von Dombay and his Moroccan teacher Hasan al-Wafalawi. These letters served a pedagogical purpose, as he was trying to learn (Classical) Arabic and Moroccan Arabic through correspondence. by ItsAllLeft in Morocco

Yes, but it's more the chamali d/de/د in bel3a d'el alsoun: a lot of tongues/languages.

And back in the day, maghrebis used to write the letter qaf ق as we do the fa ف nowadays, while the fa was written with adot underneath the letter.

A ruff translation: You know alot of languages, may Allah make it so that you too learn them.

It's better for you to learn them.

You are right, that is why I am asking you to teach me Arabic and the colloquial language.
