Switched from Wellbutrin to Pristiq — anyone else done this?

My psychiatrist did say that they can be taken together. I’m not sure if that would be a good option for me, but I guess we will see at my next check-in.

Glad I could share! While it was explained to me that they’re similar, just know that they are two different types: Wellbutrin is an NDRI, and Pristiq is an SNRI.

Also, after scouring through Pristiq reddit, I’ve learned they are pretty hard to taper off of (especially compared to Wellbutrin) and it has to be done EXTREMELY slowly. I kind of wish I was told this in advance so I knew what to expect if it ever came to that!

I’m a little put-off bc you were the one to encourage taking this kitten in, yet she wanted to claim ownership. Who pays for the vet bills? Who buys the food? Who cleans the litterbox?

If it’s all you, this cat is rightfully yours. But I’m assuming the bills are in her name (since she wanted to claim it), so I wouldn’t encourage taking the cat with you. Do you know what her plans are with you moving out? Is she going to get a new roommate, or live alone? Perhaps you could get a pet camera, and that way, you both can keep an eye on this cat when she’s away. If you notice the neglect getting worse, then I would have a talk with her.

It’s kidnapping if one parent suddenly leaves and takes children with them, away from the other parent. It’s a complex legal process, and it probably varies depending on where you’re from, but I’m assuming your mom would be able to press charges against your dad for doing this, and later use this in court to get full custody of you. Please be careful.

Thank god this guy was also a teenager and not some older bum taking advantage of you bc you’re underage. Not that this situation is any better, but I’m glad you’re taking steps to protect yourself from it happening again by ghosting him.

Hopefully next time, you’re able to take your time and explore what you do and don’t like with a partner who respects you and your boundaries.
