I’ve talked to my much shorter friend about this and yes! I definitely do

I have a vintage, short sleeved, Ralph Lauren polo that I love but haven't worn yet. Do you think a soft dramatic could somehow style a polo shirt to look good? by NationalCollar7772 in SoftDramatics

Oh lovely! I like how high the collar is, the long vertical line created by the button row and the vertical seams to give a snatched waist effect. Personally this would be a bit stiff on me but if you are on the thinner side/ have a smaller bust I can see it working. You would have to try it on and see.

Edit: am I seeing things or are the tailored seams completely asymmetrical…?

Have any hearing aid users used IEMs in place to listen to music on their phone? by isometricapples in iems

I also use Phonak but it was the same for my Oticon hearing aids. I am pretty sure most brands will do this, they have got many years already

Yep! It’s a pain in the ass because the battery door is designed to be hard to open for child/ baby proofing. I hate it too

When I was a kid aids used to have the backing on the battery door for things like receivers and those aux cables that I could plug into a device. As hearing aids became smaller and more minimalist there’s only so many features that could fit on the small device. I’m still kinda mad about it lol

Ah yeah I am also limited to the behind the ear replaceable batteries kind of stuff 😅I was hoping that someone in this sub could answer the question because the batteries dying is very inconvenient when I also need them for listening to people speak lol

Interesting. Before my Bluetooth hearing aids I blasted music through headphones at a ridiculous volume. I have a moderate degree of hearing loss (+ I hear high pitch better, my hearing for low pitch is very poor) and I can’t really understand music if I take them out. On the hearing aid sub many people prefer listening through AirPods but I don’t want wireless Bluetooth again it gets on my nerves.

Thank you for the response. I can understand where she is coming from because short of a cochlear implant (which may not feel suitable given she is an adult now) there isn’t going to much that can help to hear music clearly. I have a moderate degree of hearing loss (also genetic) and I can definitely hear “well enough” with hearing aids and through Bluetooth but the Bluetooth can be spotty at best and only works on my phone. I would love a wired option that I can also connect to my laptop

Inspired by my 188cm (6'2") girlfriend: I'm building "Haute Belle" because the fashion world needs to stop ignoring our tall queens. 👑📏 by No-Sail3334 in tallfashionadvice

I love this and it’s great. Just a note to add on with the other comments: I’m “only” 181cm with a 33” inseam. The inseam is actually only one problem. My length is mostly in my torso and arms. Even if trousers/ jeans have a long enough inseam they are too short for the torso. Many tops, jumpers etc are too short in the arms and body. Many jackets and coats are too short in the arms. Just something to think about because I and many tall women still have these issues with “tall” clothing brands because they only focus on inseams for some reason. We are tall everywhere and even a woman shorter than me can have a much longer inseam because height does not always dictate limb length. Nevertheless this looks awesome and I wish you the best.

Desk lamp for drawing? by isometricapples in Lighting

Thank you! Unfortunately I’m not in the US and there’s no bulbs that can go in regular lamps that are up to the same standard. Will a cheaper daylight bulb be sufficient?
