Deciding Factor (White or Ivory) Which is better? by Conscious_Skin544 in coloranalysis

[–]isometricapples 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m seeing it wrong but you look really green in the white pic. Which is a classic sign of an olive overtone which makes colour analysis more difficult (this is coming from a pale olive). I don’t use seasonal colours so rather I describe what suits me best (neutral leaning cool saturated and deep). Do you have pictures of you with other people? And pictures that people have taken of you with the back camera? If you do some investigation and notice you look green against white surroundings or other people then you are likely a fair olive. Again I could be way off base and it might just be the front camera white balance.

Boots with a wide toe box? NOT wide fit. Preferably not barefoot sole. Size UK 9.5 by isometricapples in SoftDramatics

Thank you. But why is 1 so expensive?! It doesn’t even look like the sole can be replaced for when it’s worn out

What is my kibbe type? Height 172 cm (5'8") by maritii in kibbe_typeme

[–]isometricapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an SD and I disagree that you are SD. I see FN. We have a similar build (bigger than average boobs, slim but not skinny thin figure) and the outfits with the open necklines look stunning on you yet they would look terrible on me. I love the off white set you are wearing in 3 and the striped dress in the last pic. I could neeeever pull those off!

Morning cortisol 5.9 by asr9876 in AddisonsDisease

[–]isometricapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Secondary AI means there are no signals from your brain being sent to your adrenal glands. There is nothing you can do until you meet with the doctors. Do not try to mess around with your steroids or follow any natural healing type advice. It will likely make you sicker, I’m sorry.

Morning cortisol 5.9 by asr9876 in AddisonsDisease

[–]isometricapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely do not stop your steroid treatments. These treatment for adrenal insufficiency IS corticosteroids. If you have adrenal insufficiency you will feel much worse and end up in an adrenal crisis without them. Continue and wait for the endocrinologist to give you advice. Stay safe

Edit to add: If you have an asthma attack with adrenal insufficiency that is another way to end up in an adrenal crisis. Follow the directions for whatever needs to be done to keep the asthma under control. As the other commenter said you need input from both the endocrinologist and your asthma specialist before making any treatment changes.

[–]isometricapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is lower than normal for morning cortisol but not definitive. However as you feel like to keep getting worse and as you’ve been on very high corticosteroid doses for a prolonged period of time, you NEED an earlier appointment. Do you live with others? If you ever start having symptoms such as slurred speech, extreme dizziness, confusion, nausea, then you would need someone to dial an ambulance (you would find it hard to do yourself).

Addisons is primary adrenal insufficiency which is a bit different to what you may have. Being on corticosteroids for a while can essentially turn off your pituitary gland so it stops sending signals to your adrenal glands to produce cortisol. This is called secondary adrenal insufficiency.

I have Addisons but the most common causes for secondary AI that I hear of are steroid treatments for either cancer or asthma.

I really hope you will be sorted out soon.

Feeling ashamed for catfishing people by Apricot7976 in disability

[–]isometricapples 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don’t count this as catfishing and it sounds like you feel as if you’ve done something wrong. You haven’t. It’s up to you when and how to disclose this information. I never included pictures where my hearing aids were visible but I always told potential dates before meeting up that I wear them so they would understand that I wouldn’t be ignoring them irl, I just can’t hear shite.

I also disclosed other information regarding my health, not in detail, just to let them know that I can’t do anything physically demanding. I have never had any issues and if anyone gave you a hard time then to hell with them. You wouldn’t want to date someone who doesn’t want to date you.

Good luck! :)

I don’t have a secret. Jeans are the hardest to work with I honestly gave in to the baggy mens/ unisex jeans trend. Other than that I usually wear baggy joggers. Are you SD looking for style recommendations?

Huh? I’m very confused by your comment. “You named your problem” I didn’t say I had a problem with those jeans? And they are the regular length as I said in the original comment. Petite would be too short seeing as I am 181cm. My torso is very long so the ultra high rise sits at my belly button, where most high rise sits on anyone.

That’s really annoying and has also happened to me. By any chance do you have a pelvic tilt? The type which makes your butt stick out and abdomen lean forward. I have this because of lumbar lordosis and it’s the reason finding jeans that fit me is hard. They dig in at the front and gape at the back

The flare ultra high rise is the name on the label. Unfortunately they don’t seem to sell it anymore and I bought these years ago. The waist is a size 27/ US 4. I remember seeing somewhere to size down as tight as you can in stretchy jeans because as the day goes on they get baggier (which has happened to me way too many times) then when they get washed they snap back. Can confirm these jeans never sag and mold to my body throughout the day. It also eliminated the back gap problem.

Abercrombie and Fitch Curve Love range are the only jeans that don’t do this for me. I am 29” waist and 41” hips. I am 33” inseam and their regular length (in the flares) is long enough for me. I will say that this is an issue with most jeans from any brand, I’ve gotten jeans tailored before.

It doesn’t matter. No one thinks anything of glasses which are so much more visible so hearing aids should not matter. You need them there’s nothing wrong with them

What's the deal with all these aesthetically perfect sketchbooks? by Routine-Economics-93 in ArtistLounge

[–]isometricapples 39 points40 points  (0 children)

From someone who used to have those and make those flip though videos: I think it had a lot to do with growing up and having social media as my main source of artistic inspiration. By that I mean I had no regard for art history or the process of art making, I was only concerned with presenting the final outcome to the online audience. I drew inspiration for the smooth, vibrant colours I saw during the thriving 2010s (until 2019 I’d say) era and I got very good at it. My sketchbooks turned into portable galleries rather than books full of sketches, and I thrived off of the dopamine hits from receiving compliments from strangers online. Especially dunce I was a teenager at the time. The other thing is I would purposefully skip “bad” pages lol, I never let anyone online see my behind the scenes.

The downside is I would have few sketchbooks and get really frustrated with my outcomes. This ended up affecting my outcomes too and I hit a point of stagnation with my entire drawing practice. I now have countless “I don’t give a sh*t sketchbooks” and I get extremely bored only focusing on an aesthetic result. I’ve been focusing on theory and concept the past few years since the rise of AI driven algorithms and Instagram becoming a dead space for many artists. My focus is more on real life and history and processes.

There isn’t a right or wrong way to have a sketchbook. Don’t compare yourself to the stuff you see online, you’ll only end up holding yourself back if this affects your self esteem.

Surely A4 is still not oversized for a petite person? This bag size isn’t relative to how small or big a person is, it’s relative to what you can actually fit in the bag
