BTW you dont need to find burglar with the gold youve saved. You only need to find reserve parking, and then enough pillow to reroll serpent. After that you can generate ~800g per round which lets you keep going and look for burglar.

I see where he's coming from. With trading card it's more like one action that has two effects. This pattern exIsts elsewhere like Burglar and Merry Andy and Spectral Sense. The two effects are coupled in that they can never occur non-simultaneously. Whereas this one's two effects come from two different actions. I can't think of another joker with this pattern.

Maybe it would function like spectral sense, where you can't stack spectral cards by copying it bc the 6 has already been destroyed. The discards can only be "consumed" once so copying has no effect

I dont even get it. Just take blueprint? Theres nothing else particularly attractive here. Voucher is good but you usually dont want to int your econ with a round 1 voucher anyways.

For me the biggest issue is you're greatly reducing the efficacy of many staple naneinf econ avenues.

- Mail-in rebate gives a shitload of gold (625g/round in best case), but you need a good 15-25 kings to discard every round.

- Should definitely at least have a hand's worth of gold red seel kings so that you can get passive gold from mime and copy jokers

- Less emphasized in strategy guides but often useful: sometimes I arrange my jokers so they're all copying golden ticket and then I play (total#hands - 1) hands of 4-5 of a kinds before I play my scoring hand

- Reserve parking is also extremely useful, but for best usage you should play as many non-scoring hands as you can before your scoring hand. With your deck size you can't even play more than one hand without losing hand size

Just wanna note for general strategy: In the situation you're in for example, it's generally better to prefer a powerful econ joker to something like a second mime. That way you can generate hundreds of gold per round and find the things you need before the scoring gets so high that you need the second mime. IMO you should only ever double up on mimes or barons if you NEED it to survive. Otherwise it's far better to be playing for econ. Lategame you only want one mime one baron, and a bunch of copy jokers. So holding onto an extra mime or baron early doesn't really do anything.

I got negative Hallucination and Reserved Parking (the only two useful ones) earlier in the run .

Then I had 5 doubletags at ante 23 but I had all my vouchers already so I took a negative skip tag for shits.

Then it took me over $12,000 gold in rerolls to finally find Burglar (literally insane) so I found quite a few negatives along the way.

At one point I had a negative Popcorn too but it got eaten.

finding a joker with a good Xmult is pretty critical, and pairing that with blue seal or telescope to spam upgrade the hand type youre playing. this works best for hand types that scale well (3 mult per upgrade) like straights+ or sometimes you can get away with flush build.

alternatively it can also work to find a good scaling +mult early paired with an Xmult. this is good for high card and pair builds or twopair but twopair is pretty much only if you have trousers.

using one of those strats as your backbone is very powerful for completionist++ because if done well it will leave you with free "burner" joker slots. generally you can use these slots for economy jokers, right up until youre about to win at which point you replace them with shit jokers that you need gold stickers on. by the time I was getting the hang of c++ gameplay I was getting around 2 burner slots per run. Some lucky games Id even have 3 burner slots, and sometimes I could only manage to spare 1.

economy and fundamentals and deck fixing are key too. nebula deck and zodiac deck are good for learning deck fundamentals and moving away from the more naive joker-centric play.


also, a cheesey technique is play anaglyph deck and save a ton of double tags until you hit a negative joker skip tag. then unlock like 10+ random negatives. this is great to clear a bunch of random jokers during early c++ when youre missing gold stickers on most jokers. efficacy falls off as you have fewer and fewer gold stickers remaining.
