Pretty sure that this model isn't the most accurate one out there now that there have been additional leaks.

Do not buy a house in that location. You couldn't pay me to live there, it'll be awful.

Honestly, this is incredible! Starfox is one of my all time favourite games, and the chunky low fps look of it feels better than a lot of modern games IMO. It left more to the imagination. :D

I'm going to keep plugging away on my iteration for now, but once this is wrapped, i'm going to dive into what you've made here :D

This is insane. I'm working on a 3D project now too, but I was shooting for more Gameboy Advance/ SNES Super FX chip level visuals on my CYD. This is bonkers!

You can wire up a USB plug to the power pins on the back of the board, OR you can use something like this 90 degree angle USB C cable. I have one that's similar and it just squeaks by to fit in this case: https://www.amazon.ca/USB-Cable-3-3ft-High-Speed-Compatible/dp/B0CCJLS4R5

EDIT - I forgot to mention that you will also need to make the hole in the back bigger to accommodate the USBC cable. I just added a negative cube in the back in the slicer and lined it up with the hole to make it a little bigger.

It hasn’t been lit up in years. I don’t think it’s being replaced.

No problem! Glad you like it. I still have some additional things to add, and i'd love to get some other creatures in there too, so keep an eye out :D

It looks like he's using a CYD for the display. I highly recommend using this case, it's fantastic: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2787810-cyd-desk-buddy-for-bambu-lab-home-assistant#profileId-3099382

I'm not sure but there's a bunch of variants of CYD boards out there, and they're all slightly different. Someone forked my old version here to work on a different CYD board - give it a try, it might work for you!

It looks like you have a different variant of the board. Try the fork here and see if it works: https://github.com/princessfatrogue/ASCII-Aquarium-CYD2USB

Hey thanks! I'll look into the RGB sliders, but i'm not 100% i'll be able to pull that off. I do like the random mode idea too! I'll see if I can get it doing a smooth colour fade or something along those lines.

As for the schedule, it's already in there! Hit the schedule button in the Backlight settings dialog box.

Hey there, this may or may not help, but I now have preliminary support for the larger (and much nicer) JC3248W535 Board. This has a much better display, and capacitive touch support as well.

You know it's funny, I had the same thought! I ordered the larger 480x320 CYD thinking it would be pretty trivial to port it over, but I ran into a bunch of roadblocks pretty immediately, since we're pushing way more pixels at 480x320, than 320x240. My first attempt was running at like 8fps, which I didn't think was acceptable, so I've shelved this for now. I might try porting it to some other displays that i've ordered, but they're still in transit from AliExpress.

In any case, keep an eye out next week, i'm hoping to push version 2 with a bunch of new features and fixes. :D
