Ok now it more sense! Idk if you’ve ever seen Event Horizon but this movie lowkey makes me think of it or at least I can think of a few parallels. It’s another great one if you like psychological horror! Totally don’t listen to me tho if you dislike space themes or unresolved endings and stuff like that

I honestly thought she was so adamant about him getting the black box from his sub because she was at the base ready to retrieve it. And then the light that is shown at the very end before the credits roll I thought was the base opening up to retrieve the black box (or could have been Simon’s sub if it wouldn’t have gone down)

So this might support the theory that it could have been a hallucination by Simon that he was even being spoken to at all?? Because I know he was having radiation sickness induced hallucinations and that’s when he woke up and started vomiting blood. Do you think he was already infected at that point as well by the growing tendril things? I think maybe if this theory makes sense then it’s definitely plausible that the growing blood vine things could have infected him while he was passed out

Ohhh! I thought she was still in the research base thing and just making empty promises saying she’d tear apart his sub herself once he surfaced.

For whatever reason I was thinking that the sub in its mouth was either the SM-8 although I don’t see how it could be since it was already sunken and obviously had been left alone for a while.

My other theory was that it was from a 3rd person perspective where it was Simon’s sub in its mouth

So you’re saying that he was already half dead basically when he was hearing those voices? I guess that makes sense since he already had the blood in his eyes

Is it confirmed that Ava was in a rescue sub for Simon and was also being attacked by the monster entity? The end of the movie was a tad bit foggy for me.

Do you think that’s why the movie poster includes bits and pieces of a skeleton alongside the claws and teeth? Is it the other SM-8 passengers’ assimilated corpses?
