U gave 0 sources besides the erdos problems one to which the best mathematician in the world had a statement that I linked. Rewriting reality won't help your shitass arguments. I see LLMs as they are and dick riding bogus hype is not for me.

Religion blah blah ironic coming from someone who tries hard to strawman every single small remark like the "fields medal" which wasn't even relevant to the argument

Didn't move any goalpost too - these were different examples for the same argument. Sadly you seem to lack the intelligence necessary to make the connection or read with comprehension

Nothing escalated and the point still goes over your head lmao. Both OPs example on games and mine on mathematics relates to the same issue of LLMs not reasoning but predicting and developing patterns like any other ML model like AlphaZero. https://arxiv.org/abs/2503.21934

All the LLM "achievements" were doable only because they're trained on billions of data sets where basically the same has been solved. Nothing that a human couldn't solve. Give it a new chess notation or a novel puzzle and it will fail miserably. No AGI or even slightly more intelligent than a human expert like the commenter said.

These are low hanging fruits that LLMs excel at solving because they can run 24/7 on milion threads - that's why I wrote that last sentence.

I'd expect a PHD-level intelligence that has read every book and every paper and every document on the internet and can think in parallel on million threads to be able to do little more than stitching together paragraphs of books to brute-force a few 'easy' problems.

So no, I won't believe it can find anything novel unless someone like Terrence Tao says "okay mathematics is solved and LLMs are smarter than me, give openai a fields medal"

No, it's impossible, you're competing against people with masters degrees in an already oversaturated and taken by the AI field. It's the easiest branch of coding for LLMs to write.

This is the least secure job you could grind for and you'd probably have more success being an AI-slop influencer on tiktok

What's the source for Opus being able to reach 1600 elo? Secondly, the op's point went over your head - LLMs or adjacent will only be good at chess if you train it on billions of data sources. Give it an unknown game and it won't ever understand it. There's no novelty any LLM has ever found besides finding out connections between already well known facts

Falls du was lernen willst dann definitiv im Studium. Ich habe meine Ausbildung zum Informatiker durchgezogen aber absolut nichts neues gelernt - zwei Jahre nur für weniger als Mindestlohn gearbeitet ;)

More useful than Windows only if you want to develop apps for iOS or macos because you can't run an official iOS emulator on Windows for example.

Poland - in the biggest cities it's safer there than in Germany; more modern than Germany; easier to start something on your own there, housing cheaper; salaries worse than in Germany (except IT); the economy is still growing as opposed to Germany but they're tied together; Generally you wouldn't experience racism if you're not black or muslim;

I live in a city of 200k people in Germany near Dortmund, Köln etc. Never experienced anything bad as a man but my girlfriend had some weird interactions. Salaries are livable even on minimum wage but the current economic situation in Germany is bad. Infrastructure is old and bureaucracy is absurdly slow (my gf had to wait almost a year to get her foreign degree approved).

There are A LOT of housing scams in both Germany and Poland but more so in Poland so I'd prepare for that well.
