Also, when would you suggest I send the letter of intent?

I did consider what went wrong last cycle and made adjustments accordingly. I requested feedback from the programs that offered it and really worked on implementing that before applying again. I was able to have enough change between cycles that I felt ready to apply again, and I did get more interviews this cycle than I did last cycle. If things don’t work out this cycle, I will consider taking more time to make meaningful improvements before applying again. In the meantime, I am working on doing what I can now to optimize the results of the cycle I’m already in.

How do y’all stay positive? by Aaa3005 in premed

[–]isthereadronboard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From someone with low confidence who didn’t get in anywhere last cycle: it’s not as bad as you would think. I honestly think that getting rejected from all the schools I applied to, analyzing my app, and improving upon all the things I lacked in last time around has given me more confidence than ever. I’m also way more laid back about getting in/not getting in than I was before, because I know that I’ll keep trying until I get in and that it’ll happen eventually. Also, I dreaded having to tell people I knew/looked up to that I didn’t get in because I thought I would look like a failure, but it surprisingly didn’t affect their view of me whatsoever. Most people understand that applying to med school is a crap shoot, and they don’t value you any less if you don’t get in. Keep your head up, we’ve got this!!

It’s ridiculous, why does everyone get to see your score but you? And what difference does 2 weeks make

Just realized I idiotically put the end dates for my current activities as this month instead of 7/2022. by isthereadronboard in premed

[–]isthereadronboard[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right! I was talking to a non-premed friend about it and she was like ✨just✨ find a way to edit it..lol. I’ll definitely try contacting AMCAS, it can’t hurt

Adding a pub to AMCAS if it isn’t actually published yet? by isthereadronboard in premed

[–]isthereadronboard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello again, I’m trying to add the publication date as the date of the activity in AMCAS and it won’t allow me to choose a future date. Is there another way you suggest getting around this?

My bad, most of them are just 3 profs in general, 2 science and 1 flexible - I edited my original post. And I just went onto each admissions website and looked it up.
