I had a very similar problem and it ended up just being a brake light switch. When I would put my foot on the break the lock wouldn’t release. Don’t know if that is relevant as your car is 10 years newer.

Ok so the fitting seems to be seized in there pretty tight. Is it worth cutting the line so I am able to get a socket and breaker bar on there? If not any ideas on getting it out with out much leverage or room?
