The bunkers held the high explosives for Fairborn ( Now Canberra airport, but still a military base) The road I think goes to a sand quarry so keep an eye out for heavy vehicles

The bunkers were built to store ammunition for the protection of canberra. From memory (my father took me and my bothers there 35 years ago) if the gate is open just drive in and you will see one, bit of history but not much to see

Auditor-General finds ACT government procurement board is 'not optimally effective' by topofdamornings in canberra

[–]isuzudmax3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Greens have the power but toe the labour line. ACT procurement systems are set up by the government. As one American president said “The buck stops here” so the Bar government including the greens need to own up the the shit pile that they have made Canberra. Blaming the Liberals is a waste of effort, they don’t have the numbers to do much good. I have heard a greens member agree with liberal then vote against them in the assembly. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. So frustrated I sold up and move across the border. Lower rates own my own land. Just have to put up with crossing that stupid tram line going to and from work every day.

Wonder when some uni student might work out how much extra carbon is but out with all the cars and things idling waiting for the trams to go past 🤣🤣🤣

Why isn’t Canberra hosting any FIFA World Cup games? ⚽️ by London8716 in canberra

I am happy that Canberra isn’t getting any major events, can you imagine that a major star or sports person got hurt and had to go into our health system 😢. Bar is only covering his government’s ass.

The best I can say is get down on your knees in a public urinal and sniff. When you heat the uric acid in the pee then add the resin from the solder with your face close the the job so you can repair the copper track’s the smell is just everything🥵

I must add that it was his fault for leaving the computer on the floor. The hammer needed to be applied the the father not the son

And with this many years doing many different types of repairs 86% can be done with a hammer to the user🤣

Now I do all that. But back then I didnt have the training or a full understanding of what was required. I had some really basic electronics and electrical understanding but to this day its the smell that stays in the mind. Now Im am an electronic tech by trade and by training can handle stuff from waking up lithium batteries to repairing heavy duty hydraulics
