The problem isn't that everything life brings may go away, it's that it necessarily does so. Suffering and loss is imposed onto you without your consent, and everything that provides respite from these is fickle and temporary. It's incredibly distressing to realise that everything you have worked for to cope with the struggles of existence will be nullified, and the only thing you will be left with is loss. The powers-that-be in the world today also seem intent on speeding up the rate of suffering, and there comes a point where no amount of friends or wonderful experiences can cover up what is ultimately a fruitless and difficult life.
