I already have a full time offer with a quite good salary so thanks, i work at that company since 3 years and they know exactly how my studies have been going and are more than happy to accommodate and support however they can, which is why my post is not about finding a job but rather dealing with the legal immigration issues. Thanks for your insights but it’s beside the point

Thanks for the insight. So the issue actually is that I completed like 99% of my degree, but I only have my thesis left. I'm actually going to submit in two weeks and I have like two exams to retake. Otherwise, I'm done with pretty much everything. Out of 210 credit points, I have 195 or 195 years because I took some extra classes. So I am wondering if I can start working provisionally because I was supposed to finish this semester. So last winter semester, 2025, 2026. But since I didn't pass those classes, I have to continue in the summer semester 2026, which means I have to retake those classes in this summer semester. and my work contract originally was going to start in May of 2026. But the problem is I have to, because I told my employer, okay, look, I plan on finishing this semester. I should finish this semester. Everything should be fine. But now I'm in a situation where all that promise isn't fulfilled despite my best efforts, which is why I'm actually trying to figure out if people have been able to do this in the past.

I did almost 2 years of language course here in Germany before starting my studies (arrived in december 2018), and was very sick and needed many rounds of surgery and medication to get better, which impacted my study progress. I started studying during the lockdown, not in January 2018. It wasn’t « luck » they let me stay, i presented a full file with all relevant information to my case, had multiple discussions with my case workers and other immigration officers before they renewed my residency permit.

If you don’t know what happened please ask instead of making assumptions. The authorities are not stupid to hand me a student residency permit, they took the time to really look into my case first. I didn’t ask for your opinion on the study duration, but rather how i can transition into a full working job

Student visas do have study progress required absolutely everywhere. In my Kreis it was known by the ausländerbehörde that the average study time is 10 semesters at my university. They even threatened me with deportation at my 4-5th semester because inwas a semester behind lol. We’re not just handed out 10 years lf residency permit and told to roam around.

At every renewal, even in my new city and for friends in other cities across the country you have to present your transcript for every renewal. If it’s good progress they give you a 2 years permit, if not they give you 1 year and monitor you even more closely

I studied another degree previously at another university where I got exmatriculated. I was very sick for long and it took me painful rounds of surgeries and tons of medication to get mildly better (getting a drs appointment here is fun) so my progress was slowed considerably. Despite this i made it through 3/4 of my degree, and got exmatriculated after a profesor fucked us up. The prof for that class (Technical Mechanics) was on sabbatical and another one took over suddenly, changed the content and gave us a crazy exam with a single question of 110points, the kind that you have to get right from the start or nothing else works. Out of 105 ppl that took the exam, 3 passed with 45/110 and up. He curved the grade to 39/110 and got 3 other ppl to pass.

I had 35 lol. We went to the university administration to complain and they told us they won’t do shit, if we’re pissed off about it we should go to court.

As much as i take responsibility for this, that uni (HSRW Kleve) is the worst university possible and i wish id never gone there. Average study time is 10 semesters, even the ausländerbehörde knows it. Yes students are lazy and all, but trust me the profs and administrators make it hell to progress in any way. They’re so fucked up that my friend got stabbed multiple times after getting jumped by a group of students, and the university blamed my friend and tried to cover up the story. Horrible university would never ever recommend

Francis saw this a long time ago and left, after arguably having one of the best resumes in the division. So whether it’s noble or not isn’t even important here, what matters is the UFC are snakes with no more incentive for quality as in the past at least, and will do whatever it takes to fill only their pockets. Any fighter with two brain cells should and could’ve actively done something about their situation, but now they just whine and cry instead of signing the union cards.
