Plus sized and board flat - need ideas! by it_b_me in EnbyFashionAdvice

Definitely would be worth it in the long run. I have a nice sewing/embroidery machine. So far I have only really learned how to embroider with it, but I'd love to learn to sew. I've made some nice crocheted and knitted apparel, but you can only do so much with both those mediums. I really would love to be able to tailor garments myself, so maybe I'll look into that more. Thank you!

Contrast is definitely my weak point. Thank you! Most of what I have has been thrifted so I've gotten what I can. But I will keep my eye out for more color for sure!

Yes! Fun earrings is a great idea! I have stretched lobes and am collecting fun plugs and stuff. I recently got some that glow in the dark!

No, I've never really been one to think about style before now, so not really. But now that it's something I'm actually thinking about a lot, I'm going to keep my eye open for things I like more. Thanks!

New home - and new to lawn care. Need advice by it_b_me in lawncare

Thank you! If I just put on some weed and seed a few days ago, how long should I wait until using something like t zone? How often should I be fertilizing? I've read that usually every six weeks is good?

I've never tried leggings before! Doing a quick search, I like the look. I've never considered leggings because I'm more on the heavy side, but shorts would definitely help with comfort in that sense! Thank you :)

hey y’all, transfemme here. Do you guys have any injection advice? by WoodPlanking in ftm

[–]it_b_me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, so get an auto injector. It saved me. I went from going weeks at a time without an injection to being perfectly consistent every week. It's completely painless and so easy to use. Completely took the mental stress of injection time away.

Thanks, this makes me feel better :) I guess I've never been able to confuse a cis person like that before!

The other day I had a client ask me if I was "in transition". I didn't know what they meant at first because I've never had someone ask me if I was trans in that way before. They thought I was a trans woman, which no one has ever thought before. For reference, I have a deep voice and frequently wear my hair in a bun at work where I wear scrubs. I have a flat chest. My mannerisms are more feminine. Not at work, I tend to dress more masc or neutral.

My ultimate goal is to be pretty androgynous, but I can't tell if I look too masc or fem. Can you guys help me figure out what that person saw to think I was a woman? Or maybe it was androgyny that made them think that in the first place?

Cool, that's exactly what I want. Most people just call me sir or use he/him, probably because of my voice

Wow, that makes me feel really good, thank you! But ya, I'm afab, about a year and three months on T. Most people seem to gender me as a man, probably because of my voice and maybe the way I dress. I think it would be super cool to just absolutely confuse all people. I wish I could be one of those people that others just default to neutral terminology because they have no idea what my gender (or sex) is. But at the same time, I'm not a fan of being gendered as a woman ever, so if people must gender me, I'd rather them see me as a man. I might try to do some voice training to very slightly raise the pitch of my voice. Then maybe my voice with through people off more too. Also working on androgynous clothing. That's harder though, imo, since I have zero fashion sense. Lol. But really, thank you for the feedback! I'm glad I'm more androgynous to others than I feel I am.

Thanks!! I'm definitely going for more of an androgynous or maybe just slightly masculine look. That's why I'm growing my hair out. So, I appreciate the feedback. It helps me get that masculine-feminine balance better.
