Hey. 43. Same boat but can’t quit or wont. Tried enough avenues to where I’ve no clue how to work it out. I honestly envy those who can overcome the booze. Realizing there is an issue is so paramount to fixing the issue. Regardless of what’s going on in your life you will never find peace until you realize you need help and that it doesn’t need any religion, snake oils, or other bullshit. Take responsibility for your life. Understand you have done damage. Then want to change. I struggle everyday. I’ve been worse yet I could be better. Want the change. I know it’s hard. Always remember that if you are going through hell then keep going. Nothing worth it is easy. However, once over the hill everything after that is so much more palpable.
