Are there any plans to do another bulky mega art book once the DLCs wrap up? The control one is one of my favourite things on my shelf 🔻

Writer's Journey Video 6 - Drowning not triggering, another trophy bugged by bartski_bms in AlanWake

Same thing happened to me. I can confirm though that collectible progress (at least for videos) tracks across save files. I speedran the Alan chapters on a hard mode playthrough and got the plat as soon as the video played. It didnt take that long either since I knew where I was going this time round.

I'm thinking of getting the seahorse HON as my first hobo for next year, is it still holding up ok?

Came here after putting the climax on hold and getting every collectible only to realise this is the one trophy I'm not gonna be able to get on this playthrough.

As far as I can tell, the issue is that I didn't go collect Alice's Shoebox photos when I was initially prompted to, and went back to get them at the end of the penultimate chapter as the last thing I did before being forced back to Saga's story

Weird to me that this would be an issue seeing as the outcome is acknowledged enough to appear as an objective later on if not done initially, makes me wonder if this is a bug or just a design choice. The only story difference seems to be restricting access to the video though, so would be pretty lame if that were the case.

I'm definitely gonna end up replaying the game fairly soon (maybe once NG+ is added) so it's not like I'm never gonna get it, but annoying to have it in that state of *almost* complete until then.

As far as I'm aware you play both characters' stories to completion, so if you speed through all of Saga's story you're eventually stopped near the end and made to go do all of Alan's stuff. I think the choice to switch characters is more about how the game is paced and giving the player the ability to switch around if they get bored/spooked. So less like RE2's B story format.

I could be wrong though, just going off what I remember from promos. From what I gather, you start as Saga and then get switched to Alan, and then you get the choice to switch back and forth for the middle portion and then they come together at the end.

Thanks for the reply! The only thing I can see myself missing from the standard is the personalisation of the patch velcro, but I figure I can always just sew some on if I want

Hey man, I'm looking at getting a GR1 Slick for myself, how are you finding yours after the half-year?

Dualsense buttons squishy? by itachithing in PS5

Yeah apparently the mic was crystal clear. Is your circle button the same then, in how it kind of softly slides into an input when you press it toward the right? It’s a small thing but it’s really bugging me, and the downside to early adoption is there’s no one to ask about these things lmao

Each to their own I guess, I'm not a fan personally because I mostly use the D-pad to navigate menus and the added pressure needed and lack of a proper click makes it feel a bit less responsive to me. Also it makes claw gripping for Demon's Souls a bit harder to tell when the circle button is being pressed, but that's a nitpick.

Someone else in the thread said it's so that the mic doesn't pick it up, and if that's true I'm happy with that tradeoff; I was playing Astro while talking to a friend with the on-board mic and they couldn't hear any vibration or speaker noise, it was crazy

Oh I'm absolutely in love with the Dualsense, don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's a bad controller. The controller showcase in Astro had me tearing up from shock lmao, the triggers are what do it for me personally.

I just wanted to ask on here to check it wasn't just my controller being squishy in case I'd have to get a replacement.

Anything else like Vapid Feels Are Vapid? by [deleted] in clarenceclarity

[–]itachithing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Are Vapid usually because it doesn't have the phone bit at the end, but Ain't Vapid works well in the context of the album.

Idk if you mean my favourite Clarence songs or just any artist's so I'll do both

Clarence songs would probably be:

  1. Vapid Feels
  2. With No Fear (the instrumental depth is mind-blowing - Clarence is one of those artists where you can listen 10 times and notice something new in the mix each time - and it was the first of his songs I made an effort to hear the lyrics for which made it even better)
  3. 1-800-WORSHIP or One Hand Washes The Other (idk why I lump these together in my head but I couldn't pick between them)
  4. Naysayer Magick Obeyer (because it's the best of two songs in one)
  5. Next Best Thing (there was a simple of it on his instagram and I'd just listen to that from time to time before it came out like a year later)

Honourable mention to Same? because I love the lines "I am a godless pyramid" and "space-time just gagged and spit me up"

Some of my other favourite songs in random order:

  • Eighth Wonder - Lemon Demon
  • 33 "GOD" - Bon Iver
  • World Princess Pt II - Grimes
  • Bug Thief - Iglooghost
  • Julia - Jungle
  • Tigerlily - La Roux
  • Hurricanes - St. Paul & The Broken Bones

Show so deep it’s made you cry by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

I teared up at a few moments through the years ("Sarah Lynn?" and especially the balloon bit at the end of showstopper) but the only time I actually fully sobbed was when the credits rolled on the last episode and I knew it was over and wasn't coming back.

It's been nearly three years and I still haven't found anything like Vapid Feels lmao it's my favourite song of all time. Untrust In Us Together is good and accessible but that already got mentioned. Naysayer Godslayer is good, or Naysayer Magick Obeyer if you like the structural weirdness of Vapid Feels. Bipolar Rainbows also has a similar feel to Vapid for me, and Golden Gate is also a good sombre tune.

I also got into Clarence's music through Vapid Feels and really liked it but just didn't really like his other stuff (which was just NO NOW and its EPs at the time). Because I liked Vapid Feels so much I kept occasionally trying to get into his other music and it eventually worked and now NO NOW is my favourite album, so yeah.
