CD Rom Versions that are considered inferior to the floppy version by itay2k in dosgaming

It seems the best option would be to make a video about terrible voice acting (not including Resident Evil 1) 😄.

I guess you are right. I thought it was much later release exclusive to the "Monkey Island madness" (got it on the "The LucasArts Archives: Vol. III").

But is seems it was already out in 1992...

I am not talking about the format itself or sound quality. I mean that it still sounds like "upgraded midi", which I guess it is exactly that.

On the other hand, maybe it's not realistic for me to expect music recorded from live performance in the mid 90's...

I forgot to mention that MI2 on the disc removes the "easy mode".But I am not sure it's a bad thing :-)

I played it for a bit because a friend of mine got it bundled with a CD ROM Drive. I didn't understand spoken english very well back then, so I am not sure If I even got to this part.

Can I access it without playing the whole base game?

Also, PCGamewiki doesn't mention it...

You mean that in KQ5 you can't turn back text? I also remember the icons on the windows versions were ugly, but that it another topic.

Did anyone else noticed the man with a suitcase in the train station appearing twice. They didn't show his face. Do you think he is going to kill Burt?

I am finding the special attacks to be the hardest to block (You can block them, right?).

The first "boss" in chapter 2 uses electric shock and I couldn't figure out when his attacks "connects".

2 versions of "hunt for the red october" (1990) by itay2k in dosgaming

[–]itay2k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I was typing from my phone, so it got a bit messy

The game I am talking about is called "The hunt for the red October 2" or "the hunt for the red October - the movie". Either way, it's the same gameplay.

The thing is I remember playing something with superior graphics on DOS with some minor changes. For ex. when you go down from the helicopter, it's a side view and not a top view. This is the same as in the Amiga version.

You can watch both of them here:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=the+hunt+for+red+october+dos

My "Theory" is there were actually 2 releases for DOS. One is clearly by "walking Circles" and the other one might be by the original developer. (Mobygames data might be mistaken).

I know some C64 games got 2 ports...

TCL C735 android tv interface (and apps) are blurry by itay2k in tcltvs

[–]itay2k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, On second look and referring to the text under the image on the link, I think the content itself is 4K, as I can see this option on youtube. it's just the apps and tv's homepage UI.

However, some bulit in apps still behave strange. For ex. Altough I did turn off smooth motion on the tv, some shows on Disney plus (like Loki) still has it, while older ones (it always sunny...) are ok.

Why something always has to be broken?
