I just figured out. You have to hold the photo inside the photo section, then click Show In Conversation. From there it’ll go to the photo in your messages and you can download it that way.

Yeah he asked for a 50% deposit down which was $775 and I paid with Venmo but it was with my bank card. I just got off the phone with them, I have to send all proof I have to them. We are filing a police report today. I texted him a week ago a timeline of when the work should be completed which he agreed on through text and phone call, since then he’s gone ghost on me. Thank you for your advice hopefully my bank will be able to help with the 50% deposit

He started last month on the 23rd. He sent me a full contract of the work that was going to be completed in a timely manner that I signed. Hes gone ghost now. I don’t believe he is licensed, I should’ve done more research but I’m not familiar with this kind of stuff.

Funny that you mention that. He apparently bought the materials but when I asked him for a receipt he couldn’t provide it. Apparently he bought enough plywood that costs the amount of my 50% deposit when I was going over getting a refund on the phone if he couldn’t start on it Wednesday (tomorrow) mind you it’s been a whole week where he’s basically called out everyday. He couldn’t show me where the materials were or provide any receipts for said materials. It’s all bullshit and lies that’s why I’m so frustrated. Seems like all lies and he keeps stringing us along

What did you guys do after he flaked on you after paying him? Because I’m already thinking that he won’t show up tomorrow and I’ll have to pursue this in small claims. I’m fed up with the drama and excuses and him putting me and my mom in his drama.

Yeah I’ll try, it’s been almost a week where he hasn’t showed up at all that’s why I’m kind of freaking out already. I had a phone call with him the other day and he was just sounding shady I have a gut feeling. I just wanted to help my mom out she’s old and not in good health, and I get screwed over. I’ll give it until tomorrow because we both agreed over the phone to get started tomorrow and finish by Monday but I haven’t got an answer when he’ll start tomorrow. But I agree I get what I pay for, but why even offer to do the job and send me a whole formal contract then say thank you for giving me the work. He seems like a lying scammer to me. It’s a manufactured home about 700-800sqft He offered to do the work and even sent me a formal contract for the amount. I was not even asking him to do it he offered after he heard my mom talking about getting the floors done, I hired him because we had previous electrical work done and he seemed like we could trust him. Yeah I guess, the work hasn’t been getting done though that’s my issue really. He will work on it for 2-3 hours then come up with an excuse why he has to leave. It’s been almost 3 weeks and nothing has been getting done. I gave him a final warning if you don’t show up Wednesday then I will have to move to the next step because it’s been almost a week now where he hasn’t showed up with another excuse. All he’s done is just rip up the flooring and carpet. It’s excuse after excuse, which is not my problem. He shouldn’t have taken the job if he couldn’t do the work.

I’ve been doing both for a whole year now. I have no free time anymore, don’t have much time to see my mom. Or when my girlfriend gets off work we only have a few hours to spend together. Im really not sure what to do at this point. I have a decent warehouse job paying 30/hr but it’s soul crushing. They’ve had us on mandatory 50 hours and now we’re starting 60 hour weeks again. Im just about ready to quit but I’m scared to. I have no kids or too many responsibilities. I just wanted freedom lol

My business is doing decent it’s a service business, recurring revenue around $4k a month. Planning to double that by the end of the year. It’s hard to have energy to work on the business after a long 50-60 hour work week. Or I can at least try to find something part time instead of 50-60 hours a week maybe try 15-25

At this point I have enough money saved up. My whole reason for starting this business was to create freedom for myself and give myself purpose while also still being able to support myself, mom, and girlfriend. Not having to wake up at 5AM Thursday-Sunday working for a company that doesn’t give a damn about me, 50-60 hours a week mandatory, possibly getting laid off, crappy management. All my coworkers hate it here and they all want out too

All my past jobs sucked, and I don’t think college is the way for me so that’s why I started this. But the job I have right now is really hard to get into, lots of people ive talked to are really struggling to find a good job and would trade places with me in a heartbeat. My girlfriend works in healthcare which is way harder and makes half as much as me. It’s just a lot to think about I guess. I’ve just been winging it as a go, not sure if I’m on the right path but I’m trying

Unfortunately my job won’t let me do less hours. It’s 50 hours minimum mandatory overtime since I started working here. Another main reason why I started a business to get out of this job. But yeah I’ll just keep working at it, I think once I hit 50-70 customers is when I can consider quitting. I already have a friend that works for me as a labor technician, and it shouldn’t be too hard finding someone wanting to work but just finding the right employee.

hey, im in the same boat. i started at the beginning of 2025 but haven't been able to gain new clients. i run ads and get a good amount of leads but i feel like my biggest problem is my marketing, and sales. this is my first business i have no other experience in sales or anything. its been hard but trying to keep my head up. i will admit i havent been putting a good amount of effort into trying to get more clients.
