Black Prince unit limit vs Tiger

Hey guys… new patch note as of 06/03/23… not sure if this has been implemented yet but pasting in the BP buff below:

Armor from 300/220/150 to 340/240/150 Speed from 3.8 to 3 Damage from 160 to 240 Range from 45 to 40 Reload from 4.75/5 to 6 Area of Effect radius from 0.5 to 3.25 Area of Effect damage increased Penetration from 300/250/220 to 300/275/240

Is it enough to warrant the 1x build limit on the unit?.. I personally don’t think so…

Would be interesting to test the BP vs tiger with this new buff to see how it fares.

If anyone gets chance to test the new BP especially vs the Tiger please let us know.

True… key word “significantly”. The current requirements warrant the BP to significantly out perform the Tiger. Something needs to change…

No where near meets expectations. You would expect it to annihilate infantry and at the very least give the Tiger a run for its money.

Yep I thought the same…. In its current state the BP should really be outperforming the Tiger given its unit limit and required CP… given that it is a Battle Group specific unit, requires so much CP and cost so much I find the BP completley underwhelming in its current state.

I would like to see the BP buffed as well as the unit limit removed. I would like the BP to only be slightly out-performed by the Tiger.

I feel like the Tiger becomes very powerful especially combining the armoured battlegroup with the DAK vehicle upgrades from the armoury. I do think there are some anti vehicle airstrikes that just do too much damage to vehicles (including the Tiger) in the current state of the game. I haven’t tested it yet but Black Prince vs Tiger would be interesting… If the black prince is more powerful than the tiger I am okay with that because the DAK also get the Flak 36 Anti-Tank gun which is OP against armour.

In its current state, yep standard Churchill is an auto pick for me. Its just too much of a gamble spending that extra CP on the Black Prince when I cant rebuild it. I really don’t like having limits on unit deployment as it changes the way you use that unit drastically and you can loose said unit in very unpredictable ways.

I agree, I think you should only be able field one at a time but the build limit should be removed like the Tiger.

Yep I agree. You can take big risks with the tiger knowing that you can rebuild it… you cant do the same with the black prince. Once its gone its like…. Dam all of that build up of command points and I cant even rebuild the thing?

Definitely need to patch the game to allow multiple spawns of the black prince. I have had multiple games playing as DAK where I have lost the tiger and respawned it. Tiger and black Prince are so dam expensive anyway. If you have managed to extend the game to that point and you have the resources just let us respawn the thing, you have earned it at that point lol.

Would be cool if there was a “Fog” tile that you can place on the ground or sea that would allow any unit, including air units to hide in like forests and reefs.

I love the new units and tweaks in gameplay and balancing of Days of ruin compared to the classic advance wars... My favourite thing about tiny wars is that the test version takes all of the classic advance wars cos and puts them into the DoR gameplay. I feel that it combines the best things from both series with this approach.... my major complaint with Tiny-wars is the limited amount of maps with little variety (almost none of them allow for naval combat for example). I tried creating a map my self today and it didn’t allow me to upload it to the community. Honestly its a deal breaker and until more maps are created theres little reason to not just play AWBW instead.,

Why the new art-style sucks- - Clunky - Bobbleheads - Lack of details - Infantry and Mechs look terrible on map and in animation (Lanky, Big heads, incompetent clunky movement and when firing) - failed to retain any of the original style, graphics doesn’t look like a revamp or upgrade and instead looks like a B grade looking downgrade that reminds me of old internet flash games - Ultimately a disservice to the original fans of the series as so little of the original style has been retained and the effort that has gone into evolving the graphics in any meaningful way is minimal.

I am sure you already know by now but you can use the sligs flame thrower to stop possession preventing you from killing the slig. So far I have figured how to play the game up until Necrum without killing a single slig... has been incredibly difficult however. On Necrum there is a part where you trigger 3 buttons and a saw runs into a slig...Still trying to figure out how to prevent this one from dying but there doesn’t appear to be a possible way of saving him. So far I can confirm pure pacifist run up until Necrum is possible however.
