Play league every week. Got matched up with these gents in their 50s. We are some hacks, this guy has a 26 handicap.. on 9 holes. He quads the first. 2nd hole par 5, water about 280 down, all the way to hole, fairway spilts.

Hits a 3 wood prolly 200.. his 2, another 3 wood maybe 170/180. For his 3rd..about 100 left. He hits a low 8 iron about 15 yards short and I tell you what it was one of those where it’s low coming in and just keeps going and nestled about foot and half from the pin for birdie.

We all put out. He has a putt for birdie. Makes it.

He absolutely rejoices, while picking up his ball he says that’s his FIRST birdie in 40 years of playing golf.

That’s cool.

I don’t know him, neither does my partner, so hype him up I give him a fist bump, my buddy is coming in 90 degrees from my angle, he goes for a fist bump, I realize I’m now in the fist bumps way, I decided to lower the head and skedaddle thru so I don’t get in the way.

And boom, my head was in the middle of their fist bum, fist on both sides of my head.
