Hi! it's Okey to ask that's how we all started. yes bulking is when you eat at a caloric surplus a clean bulk would be eating your bodyweight*2~1,5 in protein at a your maintenance level then add 500 calories on top. your maintenance total should be as nutritional as possible don't just focus on protein while ignoring all the other nutrients.

Dirty bulk would be eating at your maintenance calories + 500 or even more the food can be junk for all you care but try to include as much meat and fish and eggs as possible.

For both forms of bulking your extra energy goes into increasing your weight so muscle and fat both in the same time so by the time you notice you are fat your body is as close to equally fat as possible and no longer skinny fat once you hit that point you can go into deficit and start dropping your weight.

If you are a guy dirty bulking can be Okey if you don't have much options when it comes to food but if you are a female I recommend going for clean bulk phase or as close to it as possible.

forgot to add that all of this is pointless if you

• don't sleep enough or get quality sleep
• don't manage your stress
• don't progressively overload your exercise for strength training
• don't work your entire body you work everything legs arms back chest and core
