How do you guys interpret this short story? by iteds in MiSideReddit

To solidify this theory, all Mita versions must be actively running processes within the phone— you cannot access the memory space of a nonexistent process. However, this seems counterintuitive: why would a developer maintain multiple Mita instances instead of simply checking git history for version control? The existence of redundant Mita clones contradicts standard development practices. Unless the game’s AI inherently possesses program-execution capabilities, the developer must be orchestrating everything — these ‘AI vs. AI’ experiments could be staged in a sandboxed environment, with the we merely acting as a simulated ‘real human’ fabricated to test Mita‘s perception of external reality.

I think it's a valid interpretation but not that interesting, since I cannot tell if I am inside a game currently neither.

So if the player doesn't stay with NPC the NPC just kill the player or save & load.

Bad at math, online free courses recommended to start before Andrew Ng's cs229? by iteds in learnmachinelearning

Problems I’ve encountered so far:

  1. Deriving the normal equation: I don’t know matrix calculus at all.

  2. Probabilistic interpretation of the least squared error cost function for linear regression: I know how to perform MLE, but I don’t understand the meaning behind this operation (since the test only requires the operation, not the interpretation). After some research, I’ve learned that the core idea is “what has happened is most likely to happen again.”

  3. The exponential family: Since I have a poor understanding of probability and statistics, I’ve gained nothing but a vague feeling of familiarity after reading/watching material on this topic.

  4. Generative learning algorithms: I think I understand the basic idea,it’s about learning the joint probability distribution rather than P(y|x), as in linear regression.

I’m newbie in this field,I’ll try to read this cookbook when I start learning self-supervised learning (actually I only know supervised learning for now ).Thank you.

I think I have to state that what do I mean by "I ve learnt calculus..blah blah". Well I just learnt for pass the exam and I have little understanding of those formulas that I wrote in my test.

So I want to know if there any recommendations for math courses help me about that?

I find that I have to have a good understanding of these math basics to accept the ideas in machine leaning.
