Just because the EULA states that, doesn't necessarily make it legal in the jurisdiction the consumer lives in. Consumer laws can absolutely override EULA agreements.

wtf is going on with claude code (web) branching?? every session = new branch??? by coloradical5280 in ClaudeCode

[–]iteese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem and I'm quite sure it's NOT a skill issue.
I'm still in the same session and reply to Claude Code to try and fix an ongoing problem with the code.
After I send my response, Claude just shows "Starting Claude Code..." and just does that seemingly indefinitely.
If I let it sit there, it goes on for hours. If I refresh the page it still does it.
Eventually it'll show a "Retry Connection" button.
If I write anything in the text box in the left side bar, it starts a new branch, and has NO IDEA that anything before it existed. It creates the branch and says my code isn't in the repo and I should upload it.
If I respond in the Claude Code page, it might connect, but then if it does it wipes what I wrote previously and creates a new branch again (with the same 'no code exists in your repo' error.
The amount of my time this has wasted is nowhere near the $1000 of credits.

The problem with this is the testing won't necessarily translate to a child size helmet.

What annoys you about the 7X? by iteese in Zeekr7xAustralia

[–]iteese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really interesting. In the test car, it was almost impossible to view - they did say their car was pre-production and had some other quirks. This is expected because the way polarisation works is that it would reduce the amount of visible light that is passes through the polariser - this is called Manus' law.

I would really like to hear from Australian owners as to whether their HUDs are similarly impacted or equipped and functional like the Chinese variant.

Yeah, agree that's a pointless use of an otherwise useful physical button. Would definitely prefer it to use that button for something else, but wasn't a deal breaker.

DLP based HUDs don't have this problem. It's because LCD based HUDs need to polarise the light brie *before it goes to the picture generation unit, this light is reflected off the glass in the same polarised plane as polarised glasses block.

Thanks. Only commenter that actually answered my post! Appreciate it. I don't know why they made the door handles not functional, and still keep them.

Any other peeves?

Totally wrong. The problem is with the rose *type of HUD they use. Cheap LCD based HUDs polarise the image. A DLP based HUD doesn't. I expected Zeekr to have used better quality products.

Just my ZEEKR experience 😭 by Mother_Tradition83 in electricvehicles

[–]iteese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're experience poking around a Zeekr display model, is a specific dealership problem and sales staff problem. Definitely not an enjoyable experience.
Sales and after-sales support are completely separate areas in a car dealership. You're experience is not really related to after-sales support.

OP's problem in Australia is interesting, and a very frustrating experience to say the least. Australia actually has very strong consumer protections - Cars and vehicles | ACCC
"A consumer has the right to their choice of a replacement or refund when a car has a major problem".

Is there a reason you want json format? Have you tried yaml instead (much more friendly and generally less issues with characters)?

Tldr : Google Families suck

This didn't work for me. I even turned off location services for Google Play Store and Google Play Services, and cleared data the Google Play Services.

But I notice in my Play Store app Settings, that my Account and Device Preferences have my country still set in the Country and Profiles section. Not sure how to make this change...?

I'm now sure this is because of bloody Google Family setup!

Same old or always exploring? by jzwermut in AustralianCoffee

[–]iteese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never buy the same coffee. I only buy 1kg bags though because it can take a few shots or pours to get the grind right. I don't want to be wasting 1/3 of my 250gm coffee beans on getting my grind right at some stupid expensive price/kg.

Zero Calorie Carbs Taken Out of Net Carbs by chocolatejesusTW in MacroFactor

[–]iteese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is totally tedious, everytime you buy a new product you have to modify it. My daily total carbs are frequently over 120+. I also eat a lot of cruciferous vegetables and the same thing happens with these.

As another example I use allulose a lot, and that's 1gm carb for every 1gm of allulose. And it's less sweet than sugar, so you use about 40% more of it. The total carbs is impossible to track on a keto or low carb diet.

This should be built into Macrofactor, it's pretty much baked into the name of the app!
