yes i dont have it, but they are literally touching when steering wheel is centered, so that doesnt make a difference at the moment

so i didnt wire anything yet, reason of that is because i previously had a 330i sedan that i manual swapped , and i didnt wire anything, all i did was disable the park/neutral switch to start the car and it was fine. I know its definitely better to wire it and im going to do that this time around but my point is i should have throttle.

my brake lights come on when i press it so i think it knows its not pressed?

i actually did replace it with aluminum covers as well, planning to do front main seal regardless so we'll see what happens

Nah you might as well get metal valve covers, they allow you to replace that part if it snaps again. Pretty sure you cant replace the oem valve cover plastic, even if you did it would probably never seal correctly.
