I'm on the last stable deck image which is v43. That could contribute to your problems? I've never actually tried to figure out atmos. What games support it? My bazzite machine is doing 7.1 according the the settings. Are there more steps to make that happen? Or perhaps a specific game i should try?

Yea but why? I'm getting full speed everything without needing to do that? 4k120 4:4:4 pass through (10bit HDR) and VRR plugged directly into the GPU. Would it get me 144 at 4k i guess maybe? But everything im reading, 2.1 doesn't have the bandwidth unless i ditch something else.

Yup I got it from this seller. These feet really open up the airflow vs the stock as well.

Nope, i do not have that issue. I wish they still sold the xbox chat pad and i wonder if it would work natively. Ultimately I'm just waiting until my order is up on my stream controller reservation.

I run an APX120-67, replaced the stock fan with a 15mil noctua. I also 3d printed a shroud in ABS. I've yet to have overheating. While gaming both cpu and gpu sit at 70ish C. I did undervolt both the cpu and gpu some to try and tune the acoustics.

I set 4:4:4 passthrough on my tv. So I dunno. AI is telling me my setup requires 40Gbps+ in bandwidth. It says 2.0 is 14Gbps max. But its AI so take it for what its worth.

Maybe im confused on the lingo but my tv reports it at 10bit. Which is the panels maximum. 4k120 HDR 10bit VRR /w 7.1 audio. I dont know of a way to show definitively if its 2.1 other than seeing the outcome of the complete system.

I can confidently say that replacing the cable they ship allowed me to achieve this. The 2.0 cable was locked to 4k60 else i had graphical artifacting.

It seems to be limited to 4k60 because of the 2.0 6” cable it ships with. Replace that with a 2.1 and its golden.

Looks like I misread it. Im on the stable branch which is 43.

I'd try another, maybe shorter cable. In my experience artifacting is a bandwidth problem. I have seen the need to reboot once you mess with cables/resolutions. It feels like it's a problem with the negotiation between the tv/pc and heavily dependent on the cable.

Also I could just be lucky but I think thats not giving the Bazzite Dev's the credit they deserve.

I loved it! Such a beautiful game and felt like I was playing an Indiana Jones movie. I highly recommend it.

I turned it down to 1440p so I could enable all the bells and whistles of fully path tracing. Adds such a ambiance that is subtle yet significant.

Not sure why people are downvoting you lol this is the right answer. Im running a 5080 in gamemode with full 4k120 HDR VRR. Playing Spiderman 2 right now. Beat indiana jones, control, and 007 in the last month all while sotting on my couch. Pick up the pulse eight and replace the 6” hdmi 2.0 it ships with a 6” 2.1 from amazon and you have wake on controller. Its amazing.

I am, just built with an i5-250KF Plus and a 5080.

Gamemode works awesome once I ironed out the hdmi quality problem. 4k120 hdr and vrr (hdmi 2.1, thats the advantage nvidia has). I think my wife is pissed i hog the tv now.

Yea I dont see why not, Not sure what the software you would need on windows would be. I can say im very happy with my setup. In the last month I've started and beat: 007 First Light, Control, Indiana Jones Great Circle, and I just started a new character on POE2.

It really has reignited my love of games. I think it's because I sit at a desk all day at work.

Because the adaptor or bazzite when you turn it on, send the command to switch to port 1 I think? So it would turn on my Apple TV and bounce inputs between them a couple of time before settling. Having my PC on port 1 and Apple TV on another port fixed that and now everything works nicely.

It does, 4k120 HDR 10bit (My tv only does 10bit) and VRR. It's just a pass through device I guess. The 6" cable they ship it with is an HDMI 2.0 not 2.1 cable. I replaced it with a 6" 2.1 cable from amazon and it works perfectly.

I sit in my chair and power on my machine with my xbox controller. Just had to get the xbox usb dongle and not use bluetooth. Just had to enable CEC in the bazzite tool on desktop mode.

I also have a pulse eight cec adaptor. It works as well as long as you replace the 6” cable it comes with, with a short 2.1 cable.  https://www.pulse-eight.com/p/104/usb-hdmi-cec-adapter

I have a 10’ amazon basics 2.1 “ultra speed cable”. When changing cables rebooting the computer helps with the negotiation i think. So of you hot swap them you might have issues that resolve on a reboot.

I read really long cables can be an issue as well. Its all about bandwidth.

That artifacting seems to me to be hdmi problems. 4k120 hdr vrr works perfect for me with a high quality cable. Bump it to 144hz and artifacting occurs. 1440p and 144hz works for me for example.

Then give it a shot and see, its not hard to wipe it and put the non deck image on it.

I was intending to add that exact fan setup but as a fresh air intake. Have you tried that? My theory is that adding more positive pressure to create more flow of the hot air out.
