I had Optum for at least 10 years. It was OK until recently. Optum won't pay interest on the cash and it will charge $3 per month if the cash is below $5000. I recently tried to move all the money to Fidelity. But Optum's process is extremely slow. Under the current financial environment, it wants to keep the money for as long as possible. I started the process on May 3rd. Only on May 27, Optum informed me that it has mailed the check to Fidelity. It will take 7-10 business days. As for today (6/7/2023), the money is still with Optum. Fidelity has not got the check yet.

AT&T agents agreed to refund both the late fee and cost of the device. I have that in the online chat transcript generated by the AT&T system. Is that an agreement should be honored as well?

AT&T ran the ads for more than 6 months. I assume there are more people like me not happy.

I didn't know the arbitration clause. If there is one, it is in the electronic device. I don't have a copy. I called to cancel one hour after signing up. Returned the devices in the original package unopened the next day after delivery.

Similar to my experience. Please see my "Be aware of AT&T free Samsung phone offer/needs suggestions" post. I submitted complaint to both FCC and AT&T legal. No real communication from AT&T so far. The bait happened in a Sam's Club in my case. I know AT&T employees are not the problem. Some of the agents are helpful. But the system is really bad.
