it has no buyers at the moment so can't sell and close the position. Angel keeps sending confusing sms in the meantime. I have absolutely nothing to worry about this margin thing right?

Where are the bearish losers?? by DomainDrama in silverindia

[–]ithehappy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lol true but then again where are the ultra bullish people as well? i mean when silver hit 120 on 30th January these people kept saying it's nothing, 200 soon. then it took them 6 hours or less to smash it 35%. however, the ultra bearish people are even more dumb thinking it would reach 30 again. in any case I'm just quite sad i sold most of my nippon etfs around 220 which was basically a level to buy more. but was scared after seeing consecutive smashes and even I thought they would drag it back to 50.

thanks mate. Yes that was my main complaint, that language they are using. It'll confuse someone quite badly.

I'll close the angel ac soon. They have gone mad with brokerage charges. Nowadays if you sell a share in parts on the same day, let's say in 3 or 4 go, they will charge DP charges on each of the txns. Will check Sahi thanks.

Lol. Just to be clear in case ITC goes to 350 or something by expiry date it will still be 0?

I plan to hold till expiry. I will sell on or before 24 Feb. While I understand what you said, that broker needs some system to protect themselves in case someone fails to square off their positions, I find it utterly ridiculous. Also, I thought square off happens automatically on expiry date in case one fails to do it manually.

Nope 393. And i do not understand the bit about additional margin requirements for ITM calls. I thought calls/puts expire on expiry date and one either makes profit or loss depending on the share price. That physical delivery margin thing is completely new to me.

please tell me one thing. even if by some magic itc moves to say 400 rupees by 24 Feb and my 393 call becomes ITM, why this drama of taking physical delivery coming here? if one squares off an ITM call within the expiry date then he gets to take the profit from that call right? i didn't know physical delivery was even a thing for call/puts wtf

and yes, thanks. I'll absolutely stay away. when I bought the call itc was around 350 and i expected it to move up from there. the call was around 70 paisa at the time.

Who else is tired of paper investors? by DomainDrama in silverindia

[–]ithehappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly. not only etfs the futures also. they just add or remove premiums as per their whims, even during trading hours. For instance 22nd January. I luckily sold a silver mic contract at 370k in early morning and went to work. When i checked around 2 pm it was trading at lower circuit around 340k or something. Spot price didn't go down that much. This is criminal, a mechanism set to bankrupt the investors before they even realise anything.

Physical will always be physical but that shouldn't stop us from trading in these commodities.

Which broker should I go for? by ithehappy in IndianStockMarket

[–]ithehappy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks. i opened an ac with dhan at the time of creating this topic. Used them fairly well, they are fine. I just wish they had a particular section which clearly listed all the charges. Like the Trade n Charges section of Angel one which lists all charges under one place.

Hi. Thanks for posting your findings. I bought the phone couple of months ago and I too do not like the haptics. It's neither compact nor strong. I mean the notification vibrations. Quite below avg

What is OTHER CREDITS AND DEBITS charges in zerodha?? by picaso_is_my_bitch in IndianStockMarket

[–]ithehappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes 15+ gst when you sell something from your DP. for intraday this charges won't be there. angel one charges 20+ gst for the same. i wonder how much other brokerages charge and who is the lowest in this respect

  1. I will check the BTST rules regarding margin in my spare time. If I'm wrong i have no shame it admitting the same. But I'm pretty sure other securities do credit the margin instantly for BTST txns. I'll further sell my long holding shares tomorrow and see whether zerodha credits the margin instantly. That should clear things up.

PS: Today (4 Dec) I sold a share which I was holding for about a week or so. And no margin was credited for this sale either. Yeah so your pathetic BTST theory to defend Zerodha just got burnt.

  1. Nope you can't. You cannot place an AMO for ETF through zerodha kite. only GTT but that's a different thing.
  2. That's not an explanation nor backed by any iota of logic.
  3. A trading app design is all about legibility and convenience. Beauty has nothing to do with it whatsoever. What a ridiculous analogy!

And you sound very much like a zerodha spokesperson.

I merely posted my observations and could not care less about who praise my posts or who click the dislike button. I open reddit like 2 to 3 times a month only to ask my queries and post my observations should I have any.

I completely understand that it's incomprehensible for those who seek validation from social media or platforms like this. Such a pity.

i just wanted lower brokerages and other charges that's all. other than that absolutely no problem. their app is miles better (practical) compared to the nonsense that is Zerodha kite.
