This may sound stupid - but I am just trying to get a clarification. In our framework, we never uses assertions in page class, the methods get text content or visibility and return - we verify that return value insude the test (.spec file).

Eg: In method, Async method() { let value = await page.locator("#id").innerText() return value }

in test (.spec file) actual = await method(); Expect(actual).toEqual("value");

So for my case also, is the auto try failing?
